<br />Regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was held on Monday, March 25th, 1935
<br />at 11:00 A. M. All members present.

<br />The Sexton as -instructed to repair the fence. around the cemetery. He was also
<br />instructed: -toy install a reflector on the gate to the cemetery as a warning to motorists.
<br />D 4 -Weaver of Hay -Weaver Co. requested permission to remove sidewalk on the LaSalle
<br />St. side of the :LaSalle Hotel sufficient to enable the White Swan Laundry to remove
<br />equipment. The Board approved and instructed Mr. Weaver to secure a permit from the
<br />Building Department.
<br />The Board approved continuation certificate on the, excavation bond of George McNabb
<br />in' the". New -`York.- Casualty Co.
<br />The `Secretary informed the Bard that Fire insurance` on. the Fire. Alarm Station expires
<br />on, April 5 1935 in the amount of $57,600.
<br />The. approved the following redistribution of public improvement assessments:

<br />The undersigned respect'.Iully represents and petitions the Honorable .Board of Pub'lie
<br />Works of the City of South Bend ,. Indiana to reassess and re spread the delinquent and
<br />unpaid public improvement assessments as hereinafter set forth.
<br />Your petitioner further represents that it is the duly appointed, qualified and acting
<br />Executor under -the last will and testament of one. Ella Prast, deceased, who died the
<br />owner in fee simple of the real estate situate in St. Joseph County, Indiana and
<br />described as follows, to -wit:
<br />A part of Lot Number One (1) in South Bend State Bank's First Additon to
<br />the Town, now City of South Bend, described as follows: Beginning at the
<br />Southeast corner of Lot No. 12 in Chapin's Subdivision of Bank Out Lots
<br />1 and 2 in the City of South Bend, thence running Northeasterly 64.1 feet
<br />to the Northeast corner of said Lot 12, thence Southeasterly 256.1 feet,
<br />more or less, to the intersection of LaSalle Ave., thence West on the
<br />North Line of LaSalle Ave. 206.1 feet to a point 50 feet East from ;the
<br />Southeast corner of Lot 13 in Chapi n's Snbdivi ai an , thence North 54 feet,,
<br />thence Northwesterly to the place of beginning, excepting therefrom a
<br />parcel of land appropriated for the opening of Williams St., described
<br />as f ollows:
<br />Beginning at the Southeast corner of said lot 12, thence South 77 Deg.
<br />44' East along the Southerly line of said Lot 12 produced Southeasterly
<br />a distance of 2 feet, thence North 18 Deg. 341- Last a distance of 10.6
<br />feet . tQ the intersection' of the Easterly line of -said Lot 12, thence
<br />South 28 Deg. Nest along the Easterly line of Lot -12, ' a distance of 12.13
<br />feet to the place ar beginning.
<br />Your petitioner further represents that this estate has been open and pending since
<br />1927 and that the undersigned has been ordered by the Court to sell said real estate and
<br />has for these past years attempted to sell said real estate in one parcel but that it
<br />has been impossible to so sell said real estate and that this petitioner then upon
<br />order of Court separated said real estate into parcels, which said parcels are known
<br />and designated as Parcel A, Parcel B and Parcel C. and described as follows, to -wit:

<br />Lot A of Bank Out Lot Numbered One (1) of the First Plat of Out Lots of the Town,
<br />now the City of South Bend, platted by the State Bank of Indiana, that lies East of
<br />the East line of Williams Street in the City of South Bend as now located, described
<br />as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the property lines of LaSalle Ave. and
<br />Lincoln Way West, thence running West on LaSalle Ave. a distance of 131,32 feet to the
<br />Southwest corner of Lot A; thence North 90 deg. a distance of 23.95 feet, thence North
<br />152 deg. V east, a distance of 40.43 feet to the South line of Lincoln Way hest;
<br />thence South 90 Deg. East on Lincoln Way West a distance of 127.27 feet, to the place
<br />of beginning.
