South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting -February 5, 2010 <br />B. South Bend Central Development Area <br />(4) continued... <br />proposal, Place deposited the sum of $15,000 <br />as a faithful performance guarantee. Since <br />development at the site did not move <br />forward, no contracts or agreements were <br />signed with Place Builders. <br />In the past month, another developer has <br />contacted the department with a strong <br />interest in the site. Preliminary meetings <br />have been held, site plans reviewed, and staff <br />hopes to have a full presentation from the <br />developer ready for the Feb 19 Commission <br />meeting. <br />Staff appreciates the time and effort Place <br />Builders put forth to develop this site, and <br />looks forward to working with them on <br />development of another site in the city. <br />However, to facilitate moving plans forward <br />with the new developer, staff requests the <br />approval of the return of Place Builders' <br />deposit in the amount of $15,000. <br />Upon a motion by Ms. King, seconded by <br />Mr. Downes and unanimously carried, the <br />Commission approved Resolution No. 2649 <br />authorizing return of deposit to Place <br />Builders, Inc. (Rink Riverside site) <br />C. Airport Economic Development Area <br />(1) Proposal from The Lakota Group for <br />Area Land Use Planning and Zoning <br />Strategy for Ignition Park. <br />Mr. Relos noted that in November 2009 staff <br />received notification from the Area Board of <br />COMMISSION APPROVED RESOLUTION NO. 2649 <br />AUTHORIZING RETURN OF DEPOSIT TO PLACE <br />BUILDERS, INC.
