Proposed Solution
(ill) describe the proposed integration approach;
Infor uses industry leading architecture and development standards in the development of integrations
while leveraging past experience and catalog of integrations to reduce time and risk.
Process: Infor"s approach to integrations begins in the first project phase, Inception. Here we set the
foundation, organizing the strategy and governance rules for each integration. By the end of this exercise,
the project understands what and how systems will be integrated. We then elaborate on this through to
integration testing and final acceptance. The process its shown in more detail below.
Pules
tlrAuulloi,
• Syslem level
"AMMO . Transactional and master data is
passed between applications as business object documents (BODs) that are routed through ION.
ION also enables customers to set up workflows, design and activate business event monitors, and
manage tasks and alerts across applications. Infor ION integrations are built using open, non-
proprietary standards like OAGIS (industry -standard XML format) to ensure that Infor applications
can talk to each other in the same common standards. Non-Infor applications are easily connected
and can also be configured to talk the same standards, even if they do not natively do so. Oracle
and Microsoft, along with Infor, are members of the Open Applications Group,
• The Infor solution also supports Web Services, flexible and widely used integration, including ERP
systems through common standards such as HTTP, XML, JavaScript, Java & .NET. The native
API layer is capable of generating a standard XML and can be utilized in conjunction with Simple
Object Access Protocol (SOAP) and Web ,Service Description Language (WWSDL) to define Web
Services that are capable of delivering integration over disparate systems
• REST Services are provided as an improved messaging based web service framework. The REST
Services framework implements and utilizes an Open Source framework as its REST architecture
and' framework. REST services are simpler, faster and more easily tested than traditional web
services and are completely decoupled from HTTP
• Other integration methods are provided,
a Messenger service, table based transfer of data in XML and mapped with XLST
a Excel integration for manual loading of flat data
,rat I JI I 3-7
