REGULAR MEETING January 8, 2018 Be it remembered that the Common Council of the City of South Bend, Indiana met in the Council Chambers of the County-City Building on Monday, January 8th, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. The meeting was called to order by Council President Tim Scott and the Invocation(Pastor Jason Miller of the South Bend City Church) and Pledge to the Flag was given. White At-Large ABSENT: Dr. David Varner 5th District OTHERS PRESENT: Kareemah Fowler City Clerk Jennifer Coffman Chief Deputy Clerk Bianca Tirado Deputy Clerk Graham Sparks Clerk Executive Assistant Bob Palmer Council Attorney REPORT FROM THE SUB-COMMITTEE ON MINUTES Due to the absence of Councilmember Dr. David Varner, there was no quorum in the Sub- Committee on Minutes. The minutes of the December 11`h, 2017 meeting of the Common Council therefore will not be accepted until the Common Council Meeting on Januau 22nd, 2017. SPECIAL BUSINESS BILL NO. 18-01 HONORING FORMER SOUTH BEND COUNCILWOMAN BEVERLY DELORES (MUNGER) CRONE Councilmember Oliver Davis, 1801 Nash Street, South Bend, IN, served as the presenter of this bill.
