The following Ordinances and resolutions of the Common Council were discussed and given cons id era.tion: Ordinance No.2985. An Ordinance fixing the salaries of certain city officials aid employees of • the r.-unicipal `'ity of mouther, Irdiana, and repealing all ordinances"and parts of ordinances in conflict therewith. Be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of South -bend, Indiana: I Section 1. That the annual salaries for the fbllowing municipal city officials and employees of the city of South -bend, State cf Indiana , for the remainder of the year 1932, and for the entire year of 1933, be, and the same are, hereby, fixed to become effective as of June is t. , 1932 , as follows to -wit: Mayor's Clerk 1,425.00 Controller's Clerk 19425.00 • Supt. Water Dept. 4 250.00 Street Commissioner 31230.00 Genera 1 Foreman of Street llept 1,980.00 City Sexton 1,900.00 Suet. of Police 8c Fire Alarm. Signals 3,060.00 Inspector Wghts & Measures 1,900.00 Section 2. That the salaries of the members cf the Police and Fire Departments remain as now fixed by ordinance, except that fbr the remminder of the present year the same be, and are hereby, reduced from and. after June 1st. , 1932, fifteen days (15) pay pro -rated over a tvjelve month period. • Section 3. That the salaries of all other non -statutory officials clerk s or employees of the City or of any department t here of are hereby reduced as follows: Those rece i vinK- 03, 500.00 or more, fifteen (15%) per cent ; those receiving less that 39500.00 and 42,000.00 or more, ten (10%); those receiving less than $2,000.00 and $1, 000.00 or more, five per cent, (5%) .
