Burke Engineering, Ltd (CBBEL) is pleased to provide this proposal for <br />professional engineering services related to Erskine Pond Relocation Phase 11 in the City <br />of South Bend. The following is our understanding of the assignment, scope of services, <br />schedule, and estimated fee in support of the project. <br />UNDERSTANDING OF THE ASSIGNMENT <br />CBBEL understands that the City is seeking assistance in the relocation of the Erskine <br />Detention Ponds. The project is being proposed by the City of South Bend as a means <br />of increasing the overall volume of storm water detention capacity for the area, and <br />allowing for more efficient, future development along the Miami Street/Ireland Road <br />commercial corridor. <br />This proposal covers Phase 11 of the project, more specifically Additional Survey, <br />Additional Geotechnical Investigation, Dewatering of Existing Detention Ponds, Design <br />Services, Permits, Utility Coordination, and Bidding Services. <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />Services to be provided by CBBEL for this work have been identified as follows: <br />Additional Topoaraphic Survey: <br />Upon completion of the original survey, additional areas outside the original survey limits <br />were determined to be needed to be surveyed in order to provide a proper design. <br />Wightman Petrie, Inc. will continue to be the sub - contractor (from phase 1). <br />13 Christopher B.
