Bill No. 59-17- Setting 2018 Annual Salary for the City Clerk <br /> Bill No. 60-17- Settine 2018 Annual Salary for the Common Council <br /> Bill No. 61-17- Setting 2018 Annual Salary for the Mayor <br /> Kareemah Fowler, South Bend City Clerk with offices on the 4th floor of the County-City <br /> Building, stated, I submit for your consideration an ordinance that sets the salary forth for the <br /> South Bend City Clerk for 2018. The ordinance increases the City Clerk Salary for 2018 by two <br /> percent (2%), which is congruent with the proposed increase for other non-bargaining employees <br /> and other elected officials. I ask for your consideration this afternoon and thank you in advance. <br /> Committee Chair White opened the floor to questions from the Committee and Councilmembers. <br /> There were none. She then opened the floor to members of the public wishing to speak in favor <br /> of or in opposition to the legislation. There were none. She then turned the floor back to the <br /> Committee for further comment or main motions. <br /> Committeemember Voorde made a motion to send Bill No. 59-17 to the full Council with a <br /> favorable recommendation. Committeemember Ferlic seconded the motion which carried <br /> unanimously by a voice vote of four(4) ayes. <br /> Tim Scott, President of the Common Council with offices on the 4th floor of the County-City <br /> Building, stated, This is a maximum two percent (2%)raise which would take our salary from <br /> $19,030 to $19,411. It has been a pleasure working with everyone on the Council. <br /> Committee Chair White opened the floor to questions from the Committee and Councilmembers. <br /> There were none. She then opened the floor to members of the public wishing to speak in favor <br /> of or in opposition to the legislation. There were none. She then turned the floor back to the <br /> Committee for further comment or main motions. <br /> Committeemember Ferlic made a motion to send Bill No. 60-17 to the full Council with a <br /> favorable recommendation. Committeemember Voorde seconded this motion which carried <br /> unanimously by a voice vote of four(4) ayes. <br /> Ms. Hockenhull stated, We respectfully request, as with the Clerk and the Council, a two percent <br /> (2%) raise over the 2017 salary to take the Mayor's salary to $108,710. <br /> Committee Chair White opened the floor to questions from the Committee and Councilmembers. <br /> There were none. She then opened the floor to members of the public wishing to speak in favor <br /> of or in opposition to the legislation. There were none. She then turned the floor back to the <br /> Committee for further comment or main motions. <br /> Committeemember Ferlic made a motion to send Bill No. 61-17 to the full Council with a <br /> favorable recommendation.
