<br />In above rimed assessment roll, I:_r. Alfred B. martin, attorney for
<br />the property owners affected. by said vacation was -present. After re, -ring- all persons
<br />interested in said vacation and being fully adviseda in tie -premises, the Bo= rd ifinds
<br />that the several lots have been benefited and damaged in the amounts s horn on sa. ir, roll
<br />and therefore, the Board decides to take final action on said assessrcont roll and de-
<br />clares same in all things rrtifi.ed, confirmed and approved and. the proceedings closed

<br />The Boa rd a --proved claims for various departments in the amount of
<br />�898.50 and hereby orders City Controller to ~-ny same.
<br />Upon the recormiendation of City Engineer, F. C. 4tlrajr, the Board. signed
<br />the contract with the Van Trump Testing Laboratory for the year I93I," as follows:

<br />Vie hereby offer to test and inspect, in a thoroughly intelligent and
<br />scientific manner, the asphalt paving awarded during the year I93I, on t he follor ing
<br />basis:
<br />I. We Tree to place an experienced inspector at the Contractor's pav
<br />ing plant during the progress of the work, for the purpose of testing and inspecting-
<br />the various ingredients and to supervise the proportioning and mixing of same into the
<br />finished paving; mixtures. No mixtures will be permitted to leave the plant unless,
<br />in the opinion. of the inspector, they are entirely suitable to meet the traffic, cliinet-
<br />,ic and foundation conditions of the thoroughfate to be paved.
<br />2. One of the principals of our organization will make periodical visits,
<br />to your work, the first bisit to be made about the tirre of starting the asphalt plant,
<br />to personally regulate and standardize the various ingredients, cod. subsequent visits
<br />at faily regular intervals during the progress of the vDrk.
