Wray, <br />cost on Notre Dame Avenue and Sor in Street for <br />7, 679..20 and the Board instructed the Clerk of <br />for next year. <br />11eeting adjourned at 12 of clods noon. <br />Atte steel <br />Cle2Wk of the Board <br />(' IVEDN'ESDAY EVENING, JULY 23rd . , 1930 <br />City -L�n.gneer , for the intersection <br />the pavement cost in the amount of <br />the `Toard to include same in the budget <br />"j- <br />Board. met in regular session at 7-I5 P. M. All members present. <br />I the Board signed the contract with A. Spadoni for the local sewer in <br />improvement in Melkus Court under Improvement peso lut ion No.2 372 in the amount of <br />421.50. The -board also approved the construction bori3 of same in the amount of I00% <br />of the contract price signed by the Great American Ind emnity Co. <br />i <br />This being the date set, heprings were he d: on the follaring improve <br />ment resolutions: <br />Improveimnt resolution No.2380 for the pavement of Swygp.rt Street <br />from Irf iana Avenue to the New Jersey, Indiana and Illinois Railroad. (See fi les for <br />copy of re solu ti on. ) <br />j <br />• Improvement nesoiut ion No.2378 fbr the grade, curb and. walk improve- <br />ment on the north side of 11ishawaka Avenue from Longfellow Avenue to the east line of <br />lot IOIS in Sunnymede 4th. , addition. (See files for copy of resolution.) <br />In both of the above named impro vem ant resolutions,, no remonstrators <br />appeared and no writtEn remonstrances were filed and the Board, being: fully advised in <br />the premises finds that the benefits to the several lots and parcels of land liable to <br />be assessed fcr said improvements will be equal to the estimated costs of same as repo <br />ed by the City Engineer. The Board, therefore decides to take final action on said <br />improvement resolutions and declares sane in all things ratified, confirmed and appno# <br />without modification. <br />• <br />In both of the above named improvement resolutions, the Board hereby <br />it orders that sealed p zo posals for the construction of said improvements will be received <br />I0:00 <br />opened and read up to A. M., on the 5th., day of August 1930. The Board further <br />orders that notices of said proposals shall be published on the 25th., day of July and <br />on the Ist. , day of August I930, in the South Bend Tribune and Mirror, according to law <br />i <br />This being the date set, hearing was had on Improvement resolution <br />No.2379 for the grade curb and. walk improvement on Brdokfield utreet from Indiana Aven, <br />Priair Avenue. (See <br />to ie files f ar copy of resolution. ) <br />i <br />In the above named improvement resolution, remossntrat ors appeared and <br />a written remonstrance was filed . Property owners were also present asking the Board <br />that said improvement be made. After hearing all persons interested in said imp rove men' <br />and being fully advised in the premises, the Board, finds that the benefits to the sev- <br />eral lots and parcels of land liable to be assessed for saidimprovement will be equal <br />i� to the estimated cost of same as reported by the City Engineer. The Board, therefore, <br />decides to over rule said remonstrance, and declares said resolution in all thingp <br />ratified, nonfirmed and approved. The Board nai orders taaid written remonstrance <br />delivered to the City Engineer for a report as to the number of resident property <br />II owners who have signed said remonstrance. <br />This being the date set. hearing was had on the ass6s sment roll for <br />the pavanent of the west one half of Logan Street under Improvement Resolution NO.232I, <br />In the above names, assessment roll, remonstrators appeared but no <br />• <br />written remonstrance was fi led and a fter hearing all persons interested in said, assess - <br />merit roll, arc. being fully advised in the premises, the Board decides to continue hear- <br />ing unt it Redne slay e ven ing, August 6 th. 1930 at 7-15 P.
