Board met in regular session at 7-I5 P. Tv". All members present. The Board. signed the contract with A. Spad.oni for the local sewer in j impprovemen t in Melkus Court under Improvement peso lut ion No.2 372 in the amount of 42I. 50. The -board. also approved the construction borfl of same in the amount of I00% of the contract price signed by the Great American Ind emnity Co. This being the date set, he, -rings were had on the follcring improve meat resolutions: Improvement resolution No..2380 for the pavement of Swygart Street from Iffl iana Avenue to the New Jersey, Indiana and Illinois Railroad. (See fi les for copy of re solu ti on. ) . Improvement resolution 1�o.2378 fbr the grade, curb and walk improve- ment on tree north side of Mishawalm Avenue from Longfellow Avenue to the east line of lot IOIS in 5unnvmede 4th. , Addition. (See files for copy of resolution,) In b oth of the above named improvement resolutions, no remonstrators appeered. and no written remonstrances were filed and the Board, being fully advised in the premises finds that the benefits to the several lots and parcels of land liable to !� be assessed f cr said improvements will be equal to the estimated costs of same as repor ed by the City -6ngineer. The Board, therefore decides to take final action on said improvement resolutions and declares sa?e in all things retified, confirmed and appmVe 1 without modific at ion. ! In both of the above named improvement resolutions, the Board hereby • orders that sealed proposals for the construction of said improvements will be received j opened and read up to I0:00 A. M. on the 5th., day of August I930. The Board. further orders that notices of said proposals shall be published on the 25th., day of July and on. the Ist. , day of August I930, in the South Bend Tribune and Mirror, according to law This being the date set, hearing was had on Improvement resolution No.2379 for the grade curb and walk improvement on Brdokfield 'ireet from Indiana=A?ven, Priair Avenue. (See to ie files far copy air resolution.) In the above named improvement resolution, remonstrators appeared and a written remonstrance was filed. Property owners were also present asking the Board that said improvement be made. After hearing; all persons interested in said imbrovemen' and being fully advised in the premises, the Board, finds that the benefits to the sev- eral lots and parcels of land liable to be assessed for said improvement will be equal to the estimated cost of same as reported by the City Engineer. The .hoard, therefore, decides to over rule said remonstrance, and declares said. resolution in all thing ratified, !mnfirmed and approved. In the above named assessment roll, remonstrators appeared but no . written remonstrance was filed and after hearing all persons interested. in said. assess- ment roll, .a.nd. being fully advised in the premises, the Board decides to continue hear- i ing, until Redne sday evening, August 6 th. 19301 at 7-15 P.
