Notice of this resolution shall be published on. the 4th., day of Aprill and on the Il:th. day of .aril 1930 in the south Bid Tribune and Mirror. Raymond, manafrer of the Iunicipal Air Port, was f ldd: ,.=nrch 31st. , I930. '� To The onorab le Board of Public Works Gentlemen: Relative to the Shockley Flying service account in connection with rental of 2 hangs- at the Air Port, i Last November Z,=r. Borers (m^nager for Shockley) faithfully promised me several times to have their account p2id by the first cf the year. At the first of the near he claimed he was not connected ith this company in any official capacity and Tarr. Shockley was then in Florida.*'i This account at that time stood $490.00 owing to the city. He had I been allnn ed to sell ga so line and oil by %,Tr. Kue spert this however is not in their contract. I had their selling of gasoline and oil stopped but Mr. Bowers used his high pressured selesmanship and they were allowed to continue selling the above. I' This account has now grown to $850.00 on -April Ist., I930, and ;e are no nearer collecting it than before. I find out now the scheme is for Lux. Bowers to take over the Shockley interests and from past performances it looks as if the City is going to hold the sack. As Tam a.m accountable to 1 you gentlement as well as the taxpayers of the 11 city I feel something: should be done by gray of a_ settlement. With treatment that I have undergone with r�r. Bowers and the subterfugyes he has used thus far I recommend the City attach their plane to cover the account. { We had better ?gave a municipal service hanger than play Santa Claus for a private concern.
