October I5th., 1929. <br />J421 <br />• <br />P <br />for said improvement to Albert Constructi on Company at their low bid of $19,242.Io <br />for sheet asphalt heavy traffie pavement. <br />No petitions having been received for A`e-hange in the type of. pavement other than <br />' that speeifiecl in„the preliminarycrder for the pavement of Fremont Street from <br />Lincoln Way, West t o Humboldt Street under Improvement Resolution No.2259, the Board <br />this I5th., da-y of, October I929, hereby makes a final order for concrete .pavement <br />heavy traff4l"e, as the type of pavement with which said street shall be improved and. <br />awards : he contract for said improvement to'Albert. Construction Company at their low <br />bid of ` 5 953.30 for concrete heavy traffic <br />• y p7avem en t. <br />he Board signed and ap <br />proved pproved the Partial Estimate No I, submitted by City Engineer <br />� ai..G. Wray,. for. the raodway widening and pavement o' Kline "'treet from the eouth <br />curb line of Lincoln .day East to Ewing Avenue, in a cdordanee with the terms of the <br />contract between the Gity and Rieth Ailey Construction Company, contractors,, under <br />Improvement Resolution No.2254, in the amount o f $IS, 333.80i <br />The Board approved the redistribution of assessments for certain improvements <br />as petitioned fcr by property owners and hereby orders the Clerk to deliver same to <br />City Uontreller's office. <br />The. Board approved the grade submitted by City ,Engineer, H. G. Wray, for Nancy <br />Street from Crumstown Avenue to Lincoln Way 'pest. as. shown on report filed by Engineer. <br />This being the date set, hearings were had on the following assessment rolls: <br />Assessment roll for the pavement of Bertrand Street from Bendix "rive to Nancy <br />Street under Improvement Resolution N0.2282. . <br />Assessment roll for the sewer in Nancy street from Bertrand street -to Westmoor <br />Street under Improvement Resolution No.2284. <br />In both of the above named assessment rolls, no remonstrators appeared and no <br />written remonstrance was filed and the Board being fully advised in the .premises, finds <br />that the several lots and pareels of land primarily -assessed for said improvements <br />have been benefited in the amounts named on said rolls. The Board, therefore, decides <br />to take final action on said assessment rolls and. declares same in all things ratified, <br />confirmed and approved without modification, -The Board now orders said assessment <br />rolls delivered to the Department of Finance. <br />Uity Engineer, H. G. 4ray , filed plane, specifications and estimates and the Board <br />adopted said plans and specifications together with a resolution for the pavement of <br />the alley west of. Cushing _Street from a point I32 feet south of Grand View Avenue to <br />a point I62.7I feet north of Oak street under Improvement Resolution No.23IO. <br />In the above named improvement resolution, the Board hereby orders that on the 20th <br />day of November I929, this Board will meet in their office at _7-I5 P. 11., to hear and <br />receive remonstrances from all persons whose property is liable to be assessed for said <br />improvement and will decide whether the benefits to the several lots and parcels of <br />land liable to be assessed for said impr oveme nt will' be equal to the estimated cost of <br />same as reported by the City Engineer. The Board further orders that notices of said <br />hearing shall be published on the Ist. , day of November'and on the 8th., day of Novem-= <br />ber I929, in the. South Bend News Times anri Tribune according to law. <br />The Board signed the contract with Albert Uonstruetion Company for the pavement <br />on Fremont street from Lincoln Way "est to Humbolt 0'treet under Improvement, Resolution <br />No.2259 in the amount of 0.5,953.30. The Board also approved the construction bond of <br />same for 50,% of the a ont ra et price signed by Inland Bonding Company. <br />The Board signed the contract with Albert Construction Company for the pavement on <br />Huey Street from Lineolnway Best to Elwood eveniAe under Improvement Resolution No. <br />2260 in the amount of ;19,242.I0.
