<br />persons interested in said improvements and being fully advised in the premises, the
<br />Board finds that the benefits to the several libts and parcels of land liable to be
<br />assessed for said improvement will be equal to the estimated costs'of same as reported
<br />by the Citygineer. The Board, therefore, decides to take final action on said
<br />im-rrovement resolutions and declares sane in all things ratified, confirmed and
<br />approved without modification.
<br />In all of the above named improvement resolutions, the Board, hereby,
<br />orders'that said .Board will receive, o-pen and read sealed proposals for the construct-
<br />ion of said improvements up to I0:00 A. T% on the 23rd. , day of July 1929. The Board
<br />further orders that notices of said proposal s shall be published on the I2th. , day
<br />of July and on the I9th. , day of July I929 , according to law. in the South Bend News
<br />Times and Tribune.
<br />This being the date set, hearing was had on Improvement Resolution !,To.
<br />2246 for the ravement of LibertyStreet from Southline of Division Street to north
<br />line of Sample Street.
<br />In the above named improvement Resolution, remonstrators appeared and
<br />a written remonstrance was filed and the Board, after hearing all persons interested
<br />In said improvements decides to continue hearing on same until July 24th. ; ' I929.
<br />This _being the date set, hearing was had on the assessment roll for the
<br />grade, curb and walk improvement on 35451-1. , Street from Cr. T. W. R. R. tonorth line
<br />lots II2G and 94 in Belmont Addition under Improvement Resolution Tlo.2145.
<br />In the above named assessmient roll a written remonstrance was filed by
<br />William Bergan for `FValter J. YcIntyre, remonstrating against the amount of assessments
<br />against his property. After hearing all persons interested in said assessment roll
<br />the Boa.rd decides to continue hearing until July 24th.0 19,29, at .7=1I5 P.I(T.
<br />This bein,: the date set, hearing was had on the contract with the NewJersey,
<br />Indiana- & Illinois R. R., to maintain and operate an additional track across Sample
<br />Street.
<br />In the above matter, Paul Butler, representing said railroad was -present
<br />petitboning the Board to ta',ce final action on said contract. Yr.-Butler filed proofs
<br />of publication as well as the sworn statement of T!. Glenn Robinson to the effect
<br />that said notice had been placed in ten 7ublic places in the City of South Bend. After
<br />hearing all persons interested in said contract, the Board decides to take final action
<br />on said contract and declares same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved
<br />subject tb,:th u
<br />ratification of same by the common Council.

<br />the Board adopted said plans and specifications together with a resolution for the
<br />-pavement on `, ilson Avenue from Greenlawn venue to Twenty aecorid Street; Nineteenth
<br />Street dnd Twenty-first Street from 14ilson xvenye to 71ashington Avenue; Twentieth
<br />Street from Jefferson Blvd. ,to "ashington Street, except the east 1 of Twentieth
<br />Street from the south line of lot 80 in "hristman Place Addition to the City of South
<br />Bend, Indiana to the north line of Jefferson 31vd. , under Improvement Resolution No.
<br />2262.
<br />In the above named improvement resolution property ovaners waived all
<br />objections on and in defense to any defect in said proceedings and to any violation
<br />in rrocedure for the construction of street improvements as fixed .by law. `Vhereupon
<br />the 'Beard proceeded to receive, open and read the following sealed proposals for the
<br />construction of said improvement:
