DEF allows us to avoid the disadvantages associated with increasing EGR to the extreme
levels necessary to meet the EPA requirement of near -zero NOx emissions (0.2g/bhp-hr).
DEF is an aqueous solution of 32.5% urea and 67.5% de -ionized water. It is clear, non -toxic, biodegradable and non-
flammable. The biggest advantage of DEF is maximized fuel efficiency. The higher oxygen levels DEF provides offer more
efficient combustion resulting in clean nitrogen and water emissions which are nontoxic and harmless to the
environment.
Additional equipment, that is not DEF compliant are:
2007 Hino 258 —with low profile (LP)
2001 International 4700
o Per proposal request outlines, the International has a lifting capacity of eight tons.
b) Vehicle Equipment — the following is included in each company vehicle — list includes but is not limited to:
iv.
