<br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Maradik, seconded by Ms. Dorau and carried, the above proposals
<br />were referred to Venues, Parks, and Arts for review and recommendation.
<br />OPENING OF PROPOSALS — VENUES, PARKS, AND ARTS EXPERIENTIAL
<br />RECREATIONAL VEHICLE (PARKS GENERAL FUND
<br />Mr. Gilot advised that this was the date set for the receiving and opening of sealed proposals for
<br />the above referenced project. He stated the proposals will be reviewed and scored based on a
<br />matrix system, by a team made up of City representatives. Mr. Gilot read the names of the
<br />following vendors submitting proposals:

<br />Upon a motion made by Ms. Maradik, seconded by Ms. Dorau and carried, the above proposals
<br />were referred to Venues, Parks, and Arts for review and recommendation.
<br />AWARD BID — STUDEBAKER MUSEUM ROOFTOP UNIT REPLACEMENT — PROJECT
<br />NO. 117-081 (LIABILITY INSURANCE FUND)
<br />Ms. Tara Weigand, Engineering, advised the Board that on November 28, 2017, bids were
<br />received and opened for the above referenced project. After reviewing those bids, Ms. Weigand
<br />recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder
<br />B.C. Mechanical, Inc., 882 Anderson Road, Niles, MI, 49120, in the amount of $157,000.
<br />Therefore, Ms. Maradik made a motion that the recommendation be accepted and the bid be
<br />awarded as outlined above. Ms. Dorau seconded the motion, which carried.
<br />AWARD BID — WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT HEADWORKS INFLUENT GATE
<br />IMPROVEMENTS — PROJECT NO. 117-026 (UTILITIES WASTEWATER CAPITAL)
<br />Mr. Jacob Klosinski, Environmental Services, advised the Board that on November 28, 2017,
<br />bids were received and opened for the above referenced project. After reviewing those bids, Mr.
<br />Klosinski recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and
<br />responsible bidder HRP Construction, Inc., 5777 Cleveland Road, South Bend, IN 46624, in the
<br />amount of $966,500. Therefore, Ms. Maradik made a motion that the recommendation be
<br />accepted and the bid be awarded and the contract approved as outlined above. Ms. Dorau
<br />seconded the motion, which carried.
<br />AWARD BID — 100 WAYNE STREET PLAZA AND STREETSCAPE — PROJECT NO. 116-
<br />047R (RWDA TIF)
<br />Ms. Kara Boyles, Engineering, advised the Board that on November 14, 2017, bids were
<br />received and opened for the above referenced project. After reviewing those bids, Ms. Boyles
<br />recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder
<br />Premium Concrete Services, 712 Richmond Street, Elkhart, IN 46516, in the amount of $224,110
<br />for the Base Bid and Alternate No. 2. Therefore, Ms. Maradik made a motion that the
<br />recommendation be accepted and the bid be awarded and the contract approved as outlined
<br />above. Ms. Dorau seconded the motion, which carried.
<br />AWARD QUOTATION — ELECTRICAL VEHICLE CHARGER INSTALLATION —
<br />(GRANTS AND SUBSIDIES)
<br />Mr. Adam Parsons, Sustainability, advised the Board that on November 14, 2017, quotations
<br />were received and opened for the above referenced project. After reviewing those quotations,
<br />Mr. Parsons recommended that the Board award the contract to the lowest responsive and
<br />responsible bidder, Martell Electric, LLC, 4601 Cleveland Road, South Bend, IN 46628, in the
