F1 Tuesday, May I4th. 1929. <br />This being the date set, bis were received, opened and read for the grade, <br />curb and walk improvement on Bella Street from Portage Avenue to 1�edora 'Street under <br />Improvement Resolution No.2208. Bids are as follows: <br />Frame and Zimmer H. N. Barnes <br />concrete walk .15 .15 <br />concrete curb .40 .40 <br />grading .42 .35 <br />All of the above bids handed to City 14agineer for tabulation. <br />No petitions having been filed for a change in the type of pavement other <br />than that Specified in the preliminary order f or the pavement of 26th. Street from <br />Yishaw'ca Avenue to Pleasant Street under Improvement Resolution No.2I94, the Board <br />this I4th. , day of 17ay I929, hereby makes a final order for concrete heavy traffic <br />pavement as the type of pavement with which said street shall be improved and awards <br />the contract for said improvement to Reith Riley Construction Company At their low <br />bid of 2I,7I5.44. <br />No petitions having been . filed for a change in the type of pavement other <br />than that specified in the preliminary order for the pavement of Chapin Street .from <br />Ford Street to the north curb line of Prairie Avenue under Improvement Resolution <br />No.2I92, the Board this I4th. , day of Play 1929, hereby makes a final order for sheet <br />asphalt pavement as the type of pavement with which said street shal be improved <br />and awards the contract for said -improvement to Albert Construction ompany at their <br />low bid of -,143,706.45. <br />City engineer, H. G. '.dray, filed plans, specifications and estimates and the <br />Board adopted said plans and specifications together with the following improvement <br />resolutions: <br />Improvement Resolution No.2230 for the pavement of Amer Street from Lincoln <br />Way .44eSt to Llwood Avenue. (See files for copy of resolution.) <br />Improvement Resolution No.223I for the pavement of Florence Avenue from <br />Wilber Strut to Johnson Street. (See files for copy of resolution.) <br />Improvement Resolution No..22,32 For the movement of Yonroe Street from Olive <br />Street to Kaley ''treet. (See files for copy of resolution.) <br />Improvement Resolution No.2233 for the grade, curb and walk improvement on <br />Campeau 6treet from the east line of Park Place Third Addition to Iarriett Street. <br />(See files for copy of resolution.) <br />In all of the above named improvement resolutions, the Board, hereby, orders <br />that on the I2th., day of June I929, this Board will meet in their office in the City <br />Hall at 7-I5 P: Y., to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons,whose property L' <br />is liable to be assessed for said improvements and will decides whether the benefits <br />to the several lots and. parcels of land liable to be assessed for said improvements <br />will be equal to the estimated costs of same as reported by the City Engineer. The <br />Board further orders that notices of said hearings shall be published on the Nth., <br />day of May and on the 31st. , day of 1-Tay I929, in the 6outh Bend News Times and Tribune <br />according to law and that notices be mailed to property owners according to law. <br />This being the date set, continued hearing was had on the assessment roll for <br />the 1�cal sewer improvement on Fremont Street from Lincoln 4iay �4est to Humboldt .street <br />under Improvement Resolution i1o,2I39. <br />In the above named assessment roll, no remonstrators appeared and no written <br />remonstrance was filed and the Board, being fully advise in the premises, finds that <br />the s-everal lots and parcels of land have been benefited in the amounts named on said <br />assessment roll. The Board therefore decides to take final action on said assessment'' <br />roll ar�d declares same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved without modifi- <br />cation'and the proceedings closed. The Board now -orders said assessment roll delivered <br />to the "epartment of Finance. <br />This being the date set, continued hearing was had on the assessment roll for <br />the local sewer improvement in Southwood Avenue from Harriett Street to Greenlavan <br />Avenue under Improvement Resolution No.2I42. <br />In the above named assessment roll, the -Board decides to continue hearing <br />until Tuesday, May 2Ist.., I929, at I0: 00 A. Y. <br />This being the date set, hearings were had on the assessment rolls showing <br />the award. of damages and the assessment of benefits in the following Vacation Resolu- <br />tions: <br />• <br />0 <br />U <br />• <br />• <br />Vacation Aesolution No.I853 for the vacation of alleys in Summit Place 4th., <br />and 5th., Additions. <br />Assessment roll for the vacation Resolution No,I78I for the vacation of alleys,- • <br />in Belleville Ist., Unit. <br />Assessment roll for the vacat ioil of alleys in Summit Place Third and Fourth <br />Additions under Vacation Resolutions 2I51. <br />
