Ifinutes <br />of meeting held April 30th. , 1929, read and approved. <br />The Board approved the gene al certificate for theexeavatio bond in <br />favor of Kistler Plumbing and Heating o. , in the amount of �I,000.00 signed by <br />letna <br />The Casualty and Surety Company. <br />The Board approved the' renewal certificate for the excavation bond in ; <br />favor of Frank Spitzer signed by American Employers Insurarr ce Company, in the amount <br />t�f 1,000.00. <br />The Board signed the contract with Hoban and Roach for the construction of <br />concrete pavement on Bissell Otreet under Improvement Resolution No.2I85 in the amount;! <br />of 55,859.94. The .Board also approved tAe -construction bond of same for 50 0 of the <br />contract price'signed by Southern Surety tomjjany. <br />This being the date set, hearing was had on the assessment roll showing <br />the awards of damages and the assessment of benefits in the matter of the condemnation!! <br />for the wideing of Harriett Ztreet north of North Side Boulevard under Condemnation <br />Resolution No.2206. <br />In the above named assessment roll, no remonstrators appeared and no - <br />written remonstrance was filed and the Board, being fully advised in the Premises, <br />finds that the several lots and parcels of land have been benefited and damaged in <br />the amounts named on said assessment roll. The Board, therefore, decides to take <br />final action on said assessment roll and declares same in all things ratified, confirm; <br />ed and approved without modification and the proceedings closed. The Board now orders; <br />said assessment- roll delivered to the Department of Finance. <br />The Board approved tke Guarantee 'bond of Edward Di Julio for the Freemont <br />Street sewer under Imrrovement Gsolution No.2I39 in the amount of TT8.73 signed by <br />the Standard Accident Insurance ompnay. <br />This being the date set, continued he -,:,ring was had on Vacation Resolution <br />s <br />No.2I96 for the vacation of Bridge Street from LaSalle Avenue to Colfax Avenue. <br />In the above named vacation resolution, remonstrators appeared and a <br />written -remonstrance was filed by attorney Gilliam Bergan for a number of interested <br />,property owners. After hearing all persons interested in said vacation resolution, <br />both for and against saTne, the Board decides to continue hearing on same until Yg <br />2Ist. , I929, at I0:00 A. I% <br />This being the date set, hearings were had on the following 'vacation <br />resolutions: <br />Vacation resolution No.22I2 for the vacation of the First alley south of <br />'loodside Street from the west line of the first alley westof Yalu Street to the east <br />• <br />right of way line of the Pennsylvania Railroad. (See files for copy of res1lution.) <br />Vacation of the first alley west of 1%in -itreet from the south line of <br />doodside 6treet to the north line ofthe first alley south of 400dside street. (See <br />files for copy of resolution.' <br />Vacation of the second alley west of main street from the south line of j <br />i-loodside street to the north line of the first alley south of "oodside Street. 03ee <br />files for copy of resolution.) <br />` <br />In all of the above named vacation resolutions, no remonstrators appeared il <br />and no written remonstrance was filed and the Board, being fully advised in the <br />premises, decides to take final action on said vacationresolutions and declares same <br />in all things ratified, confirmed and approved without modification. <br />The Board now orders that lists or rolls be prepared of all owners and <br />holders.of property and of valuable interests therein sought to be taken, which list <br />or roil shall also describe the property beneficially affected by such vacations. <br />r <br />This being the date set, hearing was had on Tacation Resolution N0.22I6 <br />for the vacation of a part of 2Ist., i'treet, as follows: <br />"Beginning at the northwest corner of l6t number forty nine (49) in the <br />Original Plat of River Park now a part of the �'ity of Oouth Bend, Indiana. -thence west <br />. <br />sixty feet (601), thence south to the northerly bank the St. Joseph river, thence <br />-of <br />easterly along the northerly bank of the x"t. Joseph jiiver to a point due south mf the j <br />-place of beginning-, thence north to the pla c = of beginning." ( See files for resolution <br />In the above named vacation resolution No.22I6, no remonstrators arperred <br />and no written remonstrance was filed and the Board, being fully advised in the j - <br />• <br />premises, decides to take final action on said vacation resolution and declares same <br />in all things ratified, confirmed and approved without modification and the street <br />vacated.
