Wednesday 72?ening, April 24th. , 1929. <br />365 <br />• <br />• <br />• <br />0- <br />0 <br />City Engineer, H. G. stray, filed the following primary assessment rolls: <br />Assessment roll for the local sewer on Fremont ' Street from Lineoln' Way <br />lest to Humboldt Street -under Improvement Resolution No.2139. <br />ii f; <br />Assessment roll for the local sewer on Southwood ..venue from Harriett <br />Street to Greenlawn Avenue under Improvement Resolution No.2I4.2. <br />In both of the above named assessment rolls, the Board hereby orders that !' <br />on the 8th. day of Vayj I929, this Board ltrill meet in their office in the City Hall <br />at 7-15 D. 11r., to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property has it <br />been assessed for said improvements and will decide whether the several lots and <br />parcels of land have been or will be benefited in the amounts named on said primary i <br />assessment rolls, or in a greater or less sum than that named on said rolls. Thej <br />Board further orders that notices of said hearings shall be published on the 26th., <br />day of A fril and on the 3rd. , day of Ray 1929, in the South 3end Views Times and <br />Tribune according to law. <br />This being the date set, hearings were had on the following Vacation <br />i! <br />Resolutions : <br />Vacation Resolution No.220I for the Vacation of the alley east of <br />Marietta ''treet from the south line of Dubail Avenue to the North line of the alley <br />South of 'Jubail, and from the south line of the alley south of Dubail Avenue to <br />the north line of Dayton Street. (See files for copy of resolution.) <br />Vacation .Resolution No.2202 for the vacation of the Alley south of <br />Dubail from the east line of Marietta Street to the east line of H. Studebaker first <br />and second A4ditions. (See files for copy of resolution.) <br />Vacation Resolution No.2203 for the vacation of Fremont Street from north <br />line of Roger street to the south line of Longley Avenue. (See files for copy of <br />resolution.) <br />Vacation of the alley north of Roger Street from the west line of Fremont <br />Street to the east line of 1"eade Street. (See files for copy of resolution.) <br />Vacation of the alley "hest of Fremont -Street from the north line of Roger <br />Street to the south line of the alley north of Roger Street, and from the north line <br />of the alley north of Roger -Street to the south line of Longley Avenue. (See files <br />for copy of resolution.) <br />In all of the above named vacation resolutions, no remonstrators appeared <br />and no written remonstrances were filed. Yr. Roland Obenchain, attorney for the <br />School City, at whose request these vacation resolutions were adopted, was present <br />asking the Board to take final action on said vacation resolutions. The Board, there- <br />fore decides to take final action on Said Vacation Resolutions No.220I, 2202, 2203, <br />2204 and 2205 and declares same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved and the <br />streets and alleys vacated. <br />The Board now orders that lists or rolls be prepared of all owners and <br />holders of Property and of valuable interests therein sought to be ta:lcen, which lists <br />or rolls shall also describe the property beneficially affected. <br />This being the date set, hearing was had on 0ondemnation Resolution No.220611 <br />for the condemnation of the following described property: !! <br />Lot 38 in %clid Park Addition, Also <br />Beginning at the point of intersection of the north line of North . Side <br />Boulevard and the west line of the east one half of Section I8, Township 37 North, Range <br />3 Fast, thence north along said west line to a point due east of V'le northeast corner <br />of lot 38 in %clid Park Addition, thence running due east one hundred five feet (I051) <br />to a point, thence south and parallel to the west line of the east one half of said <br />Section I8, to the north line of North Side Blvd., thence northwesterly along the north <br />line of said North Side Boulevard to the mace of beginning." <br />In the above named condemnation resolution No..2206, R. R. Smith, represent- <br />ing the Chicago, Northern Indiana and South Bend Railway, was ,resent and advised the <br />Board, that while his company would not stand in the way of any public imrrovement, he <br />felt that the City should be willing to pay well for the property necessary for this <br />improvement. After hearing all persons interested in said resolution, the Board decide <br />to take final action on said condemnation resolution No.2206, and declares same in all <br />things ratified, confirmed and approved viithout modification. <br />In the above named condemnation resolution No.2206, the Board hereby appoi4*0 <br />Edward Pfeiffer and David Gibson as appraisors. The Board further orders that a list or„ <br />roll be prepared of all owners and holders of property and of valuable interests thereini <br />sought to be taken or to be injuriously affected by such condemnation, which list or roll <br />shall also describe the property beneficially affected by such condemnation. <br />
