<br />i' This being the date set, hearings were had on the following improve-
<br />ment resolutions:
<br />Improvement Resolution No. 2189 for the pavement of Poland street, from
<br />Harris Street to New York Central Railroad. (S'ee files for copy of resolution.) 1
<br />Improvement Resolution No.2188 for the Pavement of Carlisle Street
<br />ii frogg ,1ashington avenue to Linden Avenue. (See files for copy of resolution.) i
<br />Improvement Resolution No.2I85 for the pavement of Bissell Street from
<br />giddy Street to the east line of 2nd. , Plat of Park Place Addition.( See files for copy
<br />of resolution.)
<br />Improvement Resolution 17o.2I87 for the pavement of Broadway from High
<br />Street to Viami Street. (See files for copy of resolution.)
<br />In all of the above named improve?ent resolutions, remonstrators
<br />appeared but no written remonstrances were filed and the Board, being fully advised in
<br />the premises, finds that the benefits to the several lots and parcels of land' liable
<br />i to be assessed for said improvements will be equal to the estimated costs of same. The
<br />Board, therefore, decides to take final action on said improvement resolutions, over
<br />i ruling said remonstrances, and declares said improvement resolutions in all things ratif"i
<br />ed confirmed and approved without modification. '

<br />In all of the above named improvementresolutions, the Board hereby
<br />April,
<br />orders that on the 2nd. , day of 1929, bids will be received, opened and read for;.
<br />the construction of saind improvements up to IO:00 A. Ts. The Board further orders
<br />that notices of said rroposals shall be published in the South Bend News Times and
<br />Tribune on the 22nd. , day of I -"arch and on the .29th. , .day of Parch 1929, according to
<br />law. "
<br />This being the date set, hearing was had'on Improvement Resolation �
<br />No.2I86 for the-raver;ent of Bowman Street From Sampson Street to Ernsperger Street. (Sep;

<br />In the above named improvement resolution, remonstrators appeared but
<br />no written --emonstrances were filed and after hearing all persons interested in saidit
<br />improvement, the Board decides to continue hearing on same until April IOth. , I929,
<br />at 7-I5 F. Y.
<br />City Engineer, H. G. Wray, fildd plans, specifications and estimates
<br />and the Board adopted said plans and specifications together with the following improve;
<br />ment resolutions:
<br />wImprovement Resolution No.2I92 for the pavement of Chapin Street from
<br />the north line of Ford Street to north curb line of rairie Avenue. (See files for
<br />copy of resolution.) I
<br />Improvement Resolution No.2I93 for the pavement of Ruskin Street from
<br />Oakland street to Clover Street. (See files for reablution, )

<br />Improvement Resolution No.2I94 for the pavement of Twenty -Sixth Street j
<br />from TRishawaka Avenue to a point 394 feet south of the south line of .Pleasant Street, l

<br />In all of the above named improvement resolutions, the Board hereby
<br />orders that on the IOth., day of April I929, this Board will lieetr to hear and receive ii
<br />remonstrances from all persons whose property is liable to be assessed by said improve 1
<br />ments and will decide whether the benefits to the several lots and j
<br />parcels of land liable to be assessed by such improvement will be equal to the estimated
<br />costs of same as reported by the City Engineer. The Board further orders that notices
<br />of said hearings shall be .published on the 23rd. , day of ''arch and on the 30th. , day of
<br />March 1929, in the ''outh Bend News Times and Tribune and that notices be mailed to
<br />property owners ac-,ording to law. i�
<br />The Board signed the contract with John F. Hips:Lind for the construction
<br />of an emergency sewer in Sorin Street under Improvement Resolution T?o.2I84 in the
<br />amount of 3,413.00. The Board also approved the construction bond of same for T00% of i
<br />the contract price signed by the 10tandfrd "ecident Tnsura.nce Company.
