316 <br />Tu.esday,Pebruary 5th. , 1929. <br />George Pontarelli agreed to make. the necessary repairs_. at a cost of 7,400.00. <br />l.ward 'DiJuli.o* agreed to m ke the necessary repairs at a cost of I5,000.OJ provided <br />not more than 30 linealifeet of pipe would be necessary. <br />Rocco Simeri submitted an estimate only in the amount of 18$500.00 but would take <br />the contract on a time and material basis only. <br />J. J. Dunnegan Construction Company agreed to make the necessary repairs at a cost <br />of 7, 500,.00. <br />after considering said proposals, the Board _decides to <br />reject all of .said proposals and asked the above contractors to reconsider same and <br />submit new bids on Wednesday afternoon at 3 P.R. <br />City Engineer, H. G. ra filed plans, specifications <br />and estimates and the Board adopted same together wi�h the following improvement <br />resolutions: <br />Improvement Resolution No.2176 forthe-pavement_ of <br />the west one half of Ernsperger Street from Lincoln Way East to a point 45 feet <br />north of the center line of River Avenue projected. (See files for copy of resolution.) <br />Improvement Resolution No.2177 for the pavement of <br />& <br />rneman Street from Michigan Street to gain Street. (See files for copy of resolution. } <br />TzApr.ovement Resolution No.2178 for the grg=de, curb. & walk on <br />Franklin 6treet from . Calvert street to Ewing Avenue. ( See files for- copy of resolution. } <br />Improvement Resolution No.E179' for the pavement of Grace <br />Street from alley east of Walnut Street to Oliver Chill Plow Company property. (See <br />files for copy of resolution.) <br />Improvement Resolution No,2I80 for the pavement of <br />We-rwinski Court from the west curb lin of Johnson Street to O'Brien Street. (See file s <br />for copy of resolution.) <br />In all of the above named improvement resb.lutions, the <br />Board hereby orders that on the 27th.., day of February 1999, this Board will meet in <br />their office in the City Hall at 7-I5 P. V., to hear and receive remonstrances from <br />all persons whose property is liable to be assessed for such improvements and will <br />decide whether the benefits to the several lots and parcels of land liabletto be <br />_assessed for said improvements, will be equal to the estimated costs of same as report <br />ed by the City 'lligineer. The Board further orders that notices of said hearings shall' <br />bepublished on the 8th., day of February and on the I5th., day of February 1929 in <br />the South Bend News Times and Tribune according to law,, and that notices be mailed to <br />property owners according to law. <br />The Board approved the estimate of the Smoger Lumber <br />Company for making certain changes In the office of the City Controller and in the <br />Police Squad Ro!Qm and instructed cler't of the board to order said work done at once. <br />The Board approved the plan for the erection of a marquis <br />over -the entrance to the First National and Union Trust.Building on Jefferson Boulevard. <br />Olaima in the amount of $977.83 signed and apt oved by <br />the Board. <br />Ideeting adjourned at 12 O'Clock. <br />Attested: <br />Cl rk of the Board <br />• <br />• <br />• <br />• <br />
