<br />Improvement Resolution To.2169 for the ?xavement on lenwood Avenue

<br />Improvement Resolution No.2I7I for the pavement of longley Avenue
<br />from Wilber Street to -Johnson
<br />Johnson Street. ( See files for copy of resolution.
<br />In all of the above named improvement resolutions, no remonstrators
<br />appeared and no written remonstrances were filed and the Board, being fully advised
<br />in the premises, finds that the benefits to the..several lots and parcels of land
<br />liable to be assessed for said improvements will be equal to the estimated costs of
<br />sarge as reported by the City Engineer. The Board, therefore, decides to to to final
<br />action on all of the above named improvement resolutions and declares same in all
<br />things ratified, confirmed and approved without modification.
<br />In all of the above named improvement resolutions numbered 2I7I,
<br />2I69 and 2I70, the Board hereby orders that of the I5th., day of January I929; this
<br />Board.will receive, open,land read sealed proposals for Vae construction of said
<br />improvements up to Ie-00 A. M. The Board further orders that notices ofsaid proposals
<br />shall be published on the 4th. January of day
<br />and on the IIth. , day of January I929
<br />in the South Bpnd News Times and Tribune according to law.
<br />This being the date set, hearing was had on Improvement Resolution
<br />No.2I73 for the ra-Tement of Portage Avenue from noint southerly line of Lot TT3 'Portage
<br />Park Addition bro�jected to [eller Street.
<br />In the above named improvement resolution, remonstrators appeared
<br />but no written remonstrance -was filed and after he:!�=,ring all persons present Ao were
<br />interested in said improvement and being fully advised in the premises, the Board
<br />finditethat the benefits to the se-reral lots and parcels of land liable to be assessed
<br />for said improvement will be equal to the estimated cost of same as re -ported by the
<br />City - gineer. The Board, -
<br />therefore, takes final action on said improvement resolution
<br />and declares same in all things ratified, confirmed and approvedwithout modification.

<br />This being the date set, hearing was had on Revised Zodified
<br />Resolution No.4 for Grade 6eparation Mork as adopted on November 2-Ist. , I928.
<br />In the above named Revised Fflodified Resolution No. 4, no remonstrat
<br />ors appeared and no written remonstrances were filed and the Board decides to take
<br />final action on said resolution and decla-es same in all things ratified, confirmed
<br />and a -proved as originally adopted. The Board now orders said modified resolution
<br />referred to the Common council of the `it:r of South Bend for ratification and approval
<br />by the city Council.

<br />r This being the date set, hearing was had on the assessment roll
<br />for the sewer and pavement improvement in Belleville Ist., Unit under Improvement
<br />Resolution N0.2062, and also for the pavement of the north 3 of Ford Street under
<br />Improvement Resolution No.2093; and also for the pavement of -the east Al of Ford street
<br />under Improvement Resolution No.2095.
<br />In the above named assessment rolls, no remonstrators appeared and
<br />no written remonstrance was filed and the Board, being fully advised in the premises
<br />finds that the several lots and parcels of land have been benefited in -the amounts
<br />named on said primary assessment roll. The Board, therefore, decides to take final
<br />action on said primary assessment roll and declares same in all things ratified,
<br />confirmed and ar_proved without modification and the proceedings closed. The Board
<br />now orders said assessment roll delivered to the Lepartment of finance.
<br />This being the date set, hearing was had on the assessment roll
<br />for the sub -true': se,.•,er on 71]lwood A,,enue from Huey Street to 0oodland Avenue under
<br />Improvement Resolution 11o.2096.
<br />In the above named assessment roll no re-onstrators appeared and
<br />on written remonst~°anee was filed by Jones and Obenchain, attorneys, for George J.
<br />Hoffman et al.
<br />After hearing all rersons interested in said assessment roll and
<br />being fully advised in the premises, the Boa °d finds that the several lots and parcels
<br />of land primarily assessed for said improvement have been benefited in the amounts
<br />named on said primary assessment roll. The Board, therefore, ta`ces final action on
<br />said assessment roll and declares same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved
<br />without modification and the proceedings closed. The Board now orders said assessment
<br />delivered to the Department of Finance.
<br />City ngineer, T1. s. "tray, filed the primary assessment roll
<br />for the sewer in O'Brien Street and "erwinski Court under Improvement Resolution No.
<br />2I46.
<br />In the above named assessment roll, the Board hereby orders that
<br />on the Nth., day of January 1929, this Board will meet in their office in the City
<br />i Hall at 7-I5 P. rf., to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property
<br />has been assessed for said improvement and will decide whether the several lots and.
<br />pareels .of 'sand have been or will be benefited in the amounts named on said roll or
<br />in a greater orless sum than that named on said roll. The Board further orders that
