<br />The Board signed and approved the minutes of meetings held December I8th. ,
<br />and December I9th., I928.
<br />The Board approved the continuation certificate for the 'I0,000.00 bond
<br />for Lantz Bros., for the Garbage contract.
<br />The Board approved the Guarantee Bond of Rocco Simeri for the construction
<br />of the sewer in Yerry ixenue from Grant street to Eleade Street under improvement
<br />Resolution No.2023 in the amount of $428.23 signed by the Columbia Casualty Company.
<br />The Board approved the Guarantee. Bond of C. +;. Reesh for the construction
<br />of the -Elwood Avenue Sub-trun,sewer under Improvement Resolution No.2096 in the
<br />amount of =I,226.58, signed by the United.8tates Guarantee Company.
<br />The Board approved the following Excavation Bonds in the amount` of I,000.00
<br />each;
<br />Louis Niezgodski signed by Hartford Accident and Indemnity Co. ,
<br />Thomas lrcGrath signed by United States Fidelity and Guaranty Company,
<br />Aslin Plumbing Co., signed by American surety Company of New York.

<br />Unon the recommendation of i7m. F. �nalls,'the Board approved the petition
<br />of the Indiana Bell Telephone Company to place aerial cable in the alley north of
<br />Indiana Avenue, in Dubail and Prairie Avenue and to remove cable and -poles in Indiana j
<br />:venue, as shown on print attached to petition of '�ecember 29th. , 1928.
<br />Upon the recommendation of N. F. Qualls, the Board approved the petition
<br />of the Indiana Bell Telephone Company to place I5-`feet of 2 inch iron pipe in the
<br />alley,, in the rear of the New Indiana Lumber Company building in 0outh Michigan Street,
<br />the uor'c being necessary in order to place a telephone cable between the new and old
<br />buildings.
<br />City -Engineer, H. G. 7Tra.y, submitted the following reports on remonstrances
<br />filed:
<br />' 1171ith the return of the attached remonstrance against the improvement on
<br />Catalpa 'venue, I submit the following report:
<br />There are I2 resident property owners residing on this street, 3of whom
<br />have signed the remonstrance. This number does not constitute a majority and I would,
<br />therefore, recommend that this improvement be advertised for bids.

<br />'iNith return of the. attached retonetanance against the improvement of
<br />Bartlett Street from 1.7ichigan street to Riverside Drived, I submit the following re
<br />port:
<br />There are 6 resident freeholders residing along this proposed improvement,
<br />5 of ,jhom have signed the remonstrance. This constitutes a majority -and I would,
<br />therefore recommend that no further action be taken in the matter.

<br />In the ratter of the report against the improvement of Bartlett It.reet
<br />• which shows that a majorty of resident property owners have signed the remonstrance,
<br />the Board approved the ecommendation of amity engineer, H. Ct. `:''dray, and rescinds
<br />all former action taken on said resolution and declares saY:ie null and void and the
<br />rroceedings closed.
<br />In the matter of the report on the rernonstra,nee against the -,�a verient of
<br />Catalpa Avenue, the Board approves the recommendation of City -Engineer, and hereby
<br />orders bids to be opened for said improvement in so far as the remonstrance did
<br />not carry a majortty of resident property owners and sustains all former action to -en
<br />on said improvement resolution.
<br />This being the date set, hearings -were had on the following improvement
<br />reso lotions ;
<br />Improvement Resolution No.2I70 for the pavement of Liston Street from
