<br />a Board met in regular session at 7-I5 P. Y. John J. O1ejniczak absent.
<br />This -being the date set, -hearing was had on the -preliminary assessment
<br />#poll for the Sub -trunk Seiier on`Humboldt Street from Huey Street to Nancy Street
<br />under Improvement Resolution N0.2O97.
<br />In the above named assessment roll, remonstrators appeared and the
<br />following written remonstrances were filed;

<br />After hearing all persons interested in said assessment roll who desired
<br />to be heard, and being fully advised in the matter, the Board over ruled said remon-
<br />strances after careful and due deliiaeration finds that the several lots, areas and
<br />parcels of land which have been primarily assessed for said improvement have been
<br />specially benefited in the amounts respectively named on said assessment roll. The
<br />j Board, therefore, takes final action on sadd assessment roll and apTroved a:hd confirms
<br />said roll without modification and hereby orders said assessment roll'', as confirmed,
<br />delivered to the Department of Finance.
<br />This being the date set, hearing was had on Improvement Resolution No..
<br />2I68 for the pavement of Van .Buren Street from Portage Avenue to Lawndale Avenue, ( See
<br />files for copy of resolution.)
<br />In the above named improvement resolution, remonstrators appeared but
<br />no -uritten remonstrance was filed. and the Board, upon the request of property owners
<br />decides to continue hearing on said resolution until January I6th. , 1928, at 7-I5 P.711.
<br />resolutions:
<br />This being the date set, hearings were had on the following improvement
<br />Improve�ent Resolution?o.2I67 for the pavement on Smith Street from
<br />Huey Street to Olive Street. (See files for copy of resolution.)
<br />Improvement Resolution No.2I66 for the pavement on Bartlett Street
<br />from Michigan street to Riverside Drive. (See files- for copy, of resolution.
<br />In both of the above named improvement resolutions, remonstrators
<br />appeared but no written remonstrance was filed and after all persons interested
<br />in said improvements, the Board finds that the benefits to the several lots and parcels
<br />of land liable to be assessed for said 'improvement will be equal to the estimated
<br />costs of same as reported by the City Engineer. The Board, therefore, decides to
<br />-take final action on said improvement resolutions and declares same in all things
<br />ratified, confirmed and approved.
<br />In both of the above named improvements No.2I67 and No.2I66, the Board
<br />hereby orders that on the 8th. day of January, I928, this Board will receive', open
<br />and read sealed proposals for the construction of said improvements up to IG-00 A. T,%
<br />The Board further orders that notices of said proposals shall be published on the
<br />26th., day -of December I928 and on the 2nd., day of January 1929, in the,South Bend
<br />News Times and Tribune according to law.
<br />This being the date set, hearing was had on Vacation Resolution No.2I65
<br />for the vacation of the Ist. , alley east of Dale Avenue from the south line of Dubail
<br />to the nort'1 line of Dayton; also the Ist. , alley west of Yiami Street from south line
<br />Dubail to south line of Lots 60 and 65 in Oak Park 2nd., Addition, also from north
<br />!: line of Lots 6I and 71 in Oa=, park Addition to North line of Dayton Street; Also,
<br />Ist. , alley south of Dubail Avenue from east line of Dale to the west line of Ist. ,
<br />alley east of Dale Avenue.
<br />In the above named Vacation Resolution No.2I65, no remonstrators appeared S'
<br />/and no written remonstrances were filed and after hearing all persons interested in h
<br />said vacation, the. Board decides to tame final action on said resolution and declares
<br />�� said alleys x*x vacated, and Vacation Resolution No.2I65, in all things
