<br />Bids having been received for the sewer in Southwood Avenue under improvement
<br />Resolution Noe'2142, the Board this 20th., day of November I928, hereby awards the
<br />contract for said improvement to Rocco Simeri at his low bid of 3,116.30.
<br />Bids having been received for the sewer in Elmwood Avenue under Improvement
<br />Resolution No.2I551 the Board this 20th., day of November 1928, hereby awards the

<br />This being the date set, hearing was had on Improvement Resolution No.E154
<br />for a local sewer in Bendix Drive from Washington Avenue to . Ist. , all ey ,norzth of
<br />:;Division street;, also on Jefferson Street from Bendix Drive to Liberty street. (gee
<br />;files for coby of resolution.)
<br />In the above named improvement resolution, no remonstrators appeared and
<br />no written remonstrance. 'was filed and the Doard; being fully advised in the premises,
<br />finds that the benefits to the several lots and parcels of land liable to be assessed
<br />..for said improvement will be equal to the estimated cost of same as reported by the
<br />City Engineer, and that the improvement is necessary. The Board, therefore, decides
<br />to take, final action on said improvement resolution and declares same in all things
<br />.ratified, confirmed and approved without modification.
<br />The Board now orders that on the .:I1V'49 day of December, 1928, the .Boa.rd will
<br />,receive, open and consider sealed proposals for the construction of said sewer up to
<br />I0:00 A. IT. The Board further orders that notices of said proposals shall be published
<br />on the 30. , . day of November and on the Y.it. , day of Peoember T928, in the South
<br />Bend News Times and Tribune according to law.
<br />The Board arnroved the Guararite'e bond of the Nortaern Indiana Construction
<br />Company for the sewer in Brookfield Street under Improvement-aesolut ion No.2I20.
<br />',in the amount of 456.66 signed by 1�aryland Casualty Co.
<br />The Board approved the Guarantee bond of Rieth Riley Construction Company
<br />for the pavement on Jefferson Street from "alnut Street to Cherry Street under Improve
<br />ment Resolution No.204I, in the amount of 527.60 signed by the Southern Surety Co.
<br />The Board approved the Guarantee bond of Indiana Corr.truction Company
<br />for the sewer in Liberty Street from division street to Sample Street under Improvement
<br />Resolution No.2I22, in the amount of 589.60 signed by the Maryland Casualty "o.
<br />The Board approved the Guarantee bond. of J. J. Dunnegan for the sub -trunk
<br />sewer on Sheridan Avenue under Improvement Resolution No.2074, in the amount of
<br />3,426.80 signed by Inland Bonding Company.
<br />Upon the recommendation of '11m. F. ,,ualls; the Board approved the installation
<br />of a 4000 lumen light at Indiana and Virgindd 6treets.
<br />City °Engineer, H. G. Wray, filed the primary assessment roll for the construct
<br />ion of grade, curb and walk on the south side of florin Street from point 131.37 feet
<br />west of Iiadison Park Addition to E. P. L. Madison Park under Improvement Resolution
<br />No.2136.
<br />In the above named assessment roll, the Board hereby orders that on the
<br />27th., day of November 1928, this Board will meet in their office in the City Hall
<br />at 10:00 A. 1%, to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose property has
<br />been assessed for said improvement and will decide whether the several lots and parcels
<br />of land have been or will be benefited in the amounts named on said assessment roll,
<br />or in a --reater or less sum than that named og said roll. The Board farther orders
<br />that notices of said hearing shall be published on the 23rd. , day of November and on
<br />the 24th., day of November 1928, in the South Bend News Times and Tribune according
<br />to law.
