<br />In both of the -above named improvement resolutions, no remonstrators appeared
<br />and no written remonstrances were filed and the Board, being fully advised in the
<br />premises, finds that the special benefits accruing to the property liable to be
<br />assessed, abutting on the line of the sewer, will be equal to the estimated costs
<br />of: same as reported by the City Engineer. The Board, therefore, takes final action
<br />on said improvement resolutions, declaring same in all things ratified, confirmed and
<br />approved.

<br />Street under Improvement Resolution 17o.2I39. The Board further orders that notices
<br />of said proposals shall be published on the I2th. , day of October and on the I9th. ,
<br />dap of October 1928, in the %uth Bend News Times and Tribune according to law.
<br />This being the date set, hftvingvas had on Vacation Resolution ITo.2I38 for
<br />the 'vacation of the a ey north of Vlashington Avenue from ''unnyside avenue to Esther`
<br />Street under Vacation I esolu.ti on No.2I38.
<br />In the above named vacation resolution, no remonstrators appeared and no written
<br />remonstrance was filed and the Board, therefore, decides to take f inal action on said
<br />vacation resolution and d-eclares same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved
<br />and the alley vacated.
<br />The Board now orders that a list or roll be prepared of all owners and holders
<br />of property and of valuable interestes therein sought to be taken or to be affected
<br />by said vacation, which list shall also describe the property beneficially affected by
<br />such vacation.
<br />City 'engineer, H. G. dray, filed���pprimary assessment roll for the pavement
<br />on Madison treet from Palmer Blvd. , to Harriett Street under Improvement Resolution
<br />No. 2083.
<br />In the above named assessment roll, the Boardhereby orders that on the I6th,
<br />day of October 1928, this Board wdlt -meet to hear and receive remonstrances from all
<br />11 persons whose property has been assessed for said improvement, and will decide whether
<br />the several lots and parcels of land have been or will b e benefited in the amounts
<br />inamed on said primary roll. The Board further orders that notices of said hearing
<br />shall be published on the I2th., day of October and on the I3th., day of October 1928
<br />11 in the South Bend News Times and Tribune according to 1&w.
<br />The Board signed the contract with the Standard Oil �;ompany for gas for
<br />the Municipal Air Port as recommended by Ass It Chief John J. Kuespert.
<br />Cla i.ms amounting to 2,189.96 signed and approved by the Board.
<br />The- Beard approved the petition of the Federatbon of Social service for
<br />constructing a banner across Colfax Avenue during the Drive for funds.

<br />walk on the �'outh side of Sorin treet froma point.I3I.37 ft., west of the east line
<br />of ladison Park Addition to the east line of Madison Park Addition under Improvement
<br />Resolution No.2I36.

<br />Bids having been received for the grade, - curb and walk improvement on the south
<br />side of Sorin Street under Improvement Resolution No.2136, the Board this 9th., day
<br />of October 1928, hereby awards the contract for said improvement to H. N. Barnes
<br />at his low bid of 236.80.
