The Board now orders- said assessment roll delivere! <br />to the Department of Finance. <br />This being the date set, hearing was had on the assessment rol for the construet <br />ion of the sewer in Hildredth Street from ,Clover Street to -point 220 feet west under <br />Improvement Resolution No.2089. <br />In the above named assessment roll, no remonstrators appeared and no written <br />remonstrance was filed and the Board, being fully advised in the premises, finds that <br />the several l of s and parcels of land have been benefited in the amounts named on said <br />assessment roll. The, Board, therefore, take final action on said roll and declare <br />same in all things ratified, confirmed and approved and the rroceedings closed. The <br />Board now order said assessment roll delivered to the Department of Finance. <br />This being the dater set, hearing was had on the assessment roll for the pavement <br />on East Jefferson Bl td. , from Greenlawn. to Twenty-sixth Street under Improvement <br />Resolution No. 2045. <br />In the above named assessment roll, no remonstrators appeared and no written <br />remonstrance was filed and the Board, being fully advised in the premises, finds that <br />the several lots and parcels of land have been benefited in the amounts named on said <br />assessment roll. The Board,- therefore take final action on said assessment roll and <br />declares same in all things ratifi el, confirmed and approved and the proceedings closed. <br />The Board now orders said assessment roll delivered to the Department of Finance. <br />This being the date sett' hearing was had on Improvement Resolution No.2I33 for <br />the pavement of the first alley east of 'Clinton street from Sample Street to first alley <br />north of Sample Street. <br />In the above named improvement resolution, ?.fir. Roland Oizenchain, school city <br />attorney, eras fpesent in the int erets of the School City advocating this improvement. <br />• Property owners residing along this improvement were also present and were represented <br />by Elmer -Peak, remonstrating against the improvement. After hearing all persons interest' <br />ed said resolution, the Board decides to continue hearing on said resolution until <br />October 2nd. , 1928, at 10:00 A. AT. <br />This being the date set, hearing was held on Improvement Resolution No.2I35 for <br />the pavement of the alley north of Pea shway from Lepper . Avenue to St. Joseph Street. j <br />i <br />In the above named improvement resolution, remonstrators appeared but no <br />written remonstrance was filed and the Board, being fully advised in the premises, decides <br />!to take -final action on said improvement resolution, rescinding all former action taken j <br />on same and .declaring said resolution null and void and the. proceedings closed, <br />City Engineer, H. G. 'dray, filed partial estimate No.I for the grade, curb and <br />walk improvement on Lake Street from Jefferson Blvd., to Washington Avenue under Improis <br />�vement Resolution No.2III, in accordance with the terms of the. contract between the <br />City of South Bend and Alex Bukowski, contractor. The Board signed and approved same <br />in the amount of 982.77. <br />City Engineer, H. G. Wray, filed partial estimate No.I for the grade, ..curb. <br />and walk improvement onIbwte Street from Jefferson to Washington Avenue under Improvement!) <br />Resolution No.2II0 in accordance with _the terms of the contract between the City and I� <br />Al ex- Bukowski, contractor. The Board signed and approved same in the amount of I, I35. 35. <br />City Engineer, H. G. Wray, filed plans, specifications and estimate and the <br />Board adopted said plans and specifications together with the following improvement <br />Resolution <br />Improvement Resolution No.2I4I f,)r the pavement of Greenlawn Avenue from the <br />south line of McMinlev -4venue to the north line of Washington Avenue. (See files for <br />copy of resolution.) j <br />In the above named improvement resolution, the Board hereby orders that on the <br />`.<I' 4,day of October 1928, this Board will meet in their office in the City <br />I0:00 A. A. , to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose propertylmaytbe <br />.assessed for said impfovement and will decide whether the benefits to the several lots. <br />and parcels of land liable to be assessed for said improvement, will -be equal to the <br />estimated cost of same as reported by the City Engineer. The Board _further orders that <br />notices of said hearing shallbe published on the 28th. day of September and on the 5th. <br />;clay of October 19289 in the South Bend News times and tribune according to law. <br />' City Engineer, H. Wray, filed plans and theadopted a resolution for the <br />Vacation of the Ist. , alley vast of Stanfield Street, __ (A strip of land along the east <br />line of darter Heights 2nd. , Addition) from Napoleon street to Angella Avenue under <br />Vacation Resolution No.2I40.
