<br />In the above named improvement Resolution No.2131, the Board helingj
<br />fully advised in the matter, -takes final action on said Resolution No.2231, . and
<br />declares same in .all things ratified, confirmed and approved. This action taken
<br />In -compliance with Track Elevation get, approved March Ist., 19231 as shown in Burns
<br />Revised Statutes of the State of Indiana, 1926, Section-I054I. he Board, hereby,
<br />orders that on the 4th., day of September I928, this Board will receive, open and
<br />read sealed proposals for the construction of said improvements up to I0:00 A. 11.
<br />The Board further orders that notices of said proposals shall be published on the
<br />24th.- day of August and on the 3lst., day of August 1928, in the South Bend News
<br />Times and Tribune according to law.
<br />Upon the recommendation of Wm. F. Qualls, the Board approved the
<br />installation of a 4000 lumen light at the corner of Westmoor Street and Meade Street
<br />at a cost of 45.00 per year.
<br />By mutual agreement between the Williston Construction Company,
<br />contractors, and the Board of Public "orks, the Board modifies the contract for the
<br />paving of the street approaches at Division and Walnut, South Walnut, Arnold, Harris,
<br />Ford and Cherry Streets under Improvement Resolution No.2107, to eliminate the pave-
<br />ment 9nly of said street approaches, all other items of said contract to be in full
<br />i
<br />force and effect.
<br />Uron motion dul made and seconded, it was unamimously decided
<br />by the Board to pay the Williston �onstruetion Company 800.00 for replacing pavement
<br />at Huey Street and Lincoln 'Nay `hest, where the Northwest Sewer crossed Lincoln Way,.
<br />i�r. C. J. Allardt, Street Commissioner, was called in and agreed to pay it out of
<br />the P;a.soline tax fund. The Chermical inspection bill of 18.72 of the Van Trump
<br />Chemical Laboratory is also to be paid out of this fund.
<br />City Engineer, H. G. Wray, filed plans, specifications and estimate
<br />and the Board adopted said plans and s pe cifi cati ons together with the following
<br />Improvement Resolution:
<br />Improvement Resolution No.2130 for the grading of the alley west
<br />of Miami Street from Fairview Avenue to the center line of the first alley south of
<br />Fairview. (See files for copy of Resolution.)
<br />In the above named improvement Resolution No•2I30, the Board,
<br />hereby orders that on the I9th. , day of �eptember 1928, this Board will meet in their'
<br />office in the City Hall at 7-I5 P. V., to hear and receive remonstrances from all
<br />persons whose porperty may be assessed for said improvement and will decide whether
<br />the :=zsoil benefits to the several lots and parcels of land liable to be assessed,
<br />for said improvement will be equal to the estimated cost of same as reported by the
<br />City Angineer. The Board further orders that notices of said hearing shall be
<br />published in the South Bend News Times and Tribune on the 3Ist., day of August,
<br />and on the 7th. , day of September I928, according to law.
<br />City Engineer, H. G. dray, filed plans and the Board adopted
<br />said plans together with a Resolution for the Vacation of the first alley south of
<br />Colfax Avenue from Esther Street to Greenlawn Avenue under Vacation Resolution No.

<br />In the above named Vacation Resolution, the Board hereby orders
<br />that on the I9th. , day of September I928, this Board will meet in their office in
<br />the City Hall to hear and receive rera^nstrances from all persons whose property
<br />ray the affected by said. ?Tacation. The Board further orders that notices of said
<br />hearing shall be published on the 31st. , day of August andon the 7th. , day of
<br />September 1928, in the South Bend News Times and Tribune according to law.
