<br />approved march IOth.,,.1927, and therefore, be it resolved by the Board of ''Public
<br />T`lorks of the City of South Bend, Indiana, That it is' desired and deemed necessary
<br />to improve
<br />Terrace Avenue from ,Lincoln Highway to north line of Lot 224; Goodland
<br />.venue from Lincoln Highway to north .i ine of Calhoun street; Aliot Street, Bendix
<br />Drive and _TCaley Street from Lincoln Highway to Elwood Avenue; Calhoun Street and
<br />Humbolt Street from Goodland Avenue to east line of Addition, and u wood Avenue
<br />from Goodland Avenue to east line of Bendix Drive, by the construction of a pave -
<br />vent improvement. Also to imporve Terrace Avenue from Lincoln Highway to north
<br />line of Addition; Goodland Avenue from Lincoln Highway to Calhoun Street; Elliot
<br />Street from Humbolt Street to Elwood Avenge; Bendix Drive and Ka.ley street from
<br />Lincoln Highway to Elwood Avenue by the construction of a local sewer improvement,
<br />in accordance with the rlans,'profiles, specifications, detailed drawaings and
<br />engineer's estimate now on file in the office of the Department of Public `44orks
<br />of the City of South Bend, Indiana, and such improvement is now ordered. The
<br />pvaing material to be used in maing said improvement shall be sheet asphalt.
<br />The cost,of said improvement, including the cost of street and alley
<br />intersections, public places and ineiLdental costs shall be assessed upon the
<br />real. estate abutting on said streets, all in accordance with the method,, and manner
<br />provided for in Chapter 236 of the Acts of the General Assembly of the State of
<br />Indiana, approved pf march IOth. , 1927.
<br />Assessments of ten dollars and more against each lot,if deferred,
<br />are to be paid in ten equal annual installments, with interest at the rate of six
<br />per cent per annum. A bond or bonds will be issued to the contractor to the amount
<br />of such deferred assessments in rro rate payment for such improvement.
<br />Under no circumstances shall the City of aouth Bend be, or be held
<br />responsible for any sum or sums due from said rronerty rnvner or owners for said
<br />work, dr for the collection of the same, or for the payment of any bond or bonds,
<br />certificate or certificates, issued to said contractor in payment for such work,
<br />except such money as shall have been actually received by the City from the assess
<br />ments for sue -a improvment, or such moneys as sadd City is by said entitled Act
<br />and amendments and supplements thereto, required to pay. All proceedings had,
<br />and work done in the ma'cing of said improvmement, assessment of property, collection
<br />of assessments and issuance of bonds, therefore, shall be provided for in said
<br />above entitled Acts.

<br />ed by the City algineer. The Board furkher orders that notice of said hearing shall
<br />be nublsihed in the South Bend News Times and Tribune on the 2nd.9 day of July, I928,

<br />Improvement Resolution No.2IO5 f-r the pavement improvement of the
<br />first alley west of Cottage Grove Avenue from Lincoln 'play jest to Van Buren Street.

<br />Improvement Resolution ro.206.4 for the pavement of Twenty-second
<br />Street from the south line of the concrete pavement on Jefferson Blvd., to the north

<br />In all of the above named imrrovement resolutions, the Board, hereby,
<br />orders that on the 25th. , day of July, I928, this Board will meet in their office
<br />in the .City Hall at 7-I5 P. T.T. , to hear and receive remonstrances from all r ersons
<br />whose rronerty is liable to be asses-ed for said improvement and will decide
<br />whether the benefits .to the several lots and rarcels of land liable to be assessed.
