<br />Board met in regular session at 7-I5 P. V. All members present.
<br />This being the date set, continued hearing was had on Improvement
<br />Resolution No20I9 for the pavement of 35th. , I'treet from south line of concrete pavement
<br />on Jefferson Boulevard to Mishawaka venue.
<br />In the above named improvement resolution, the .Board, being fully
<br />advised in the premises, finds that no arrangement has been made for the laying of the
<br />water mains along this street. Therefore, the Board decides to take final action on
<br />said Improvement Resolution and declares all:_,former action ta'_cen on said resolution
<br />null and void and the proceedings closed.
<br />This being the date set, hearing was had on Improvement Aesoluti on
<br />No.2046 for the construction of sidewalk on Monroe ''treet between 6c8tt and Chapin Street
<br />where necessary.
<br />In the above named improvement resolution, remonstrators appeared
<br />and the Board, being fully advised in the premises decides to take final action on said
<br />resolution and declares all former tetian taken on same null and void and the proceed-
<br />ings closed.
<br />This being the date set, hearings were had on the following
<br />Improvement 4solutions:
<br />Improvement Resolution No.2040 for the pavement of the alley north
<br />of Marion "'treet from the west line of the alley west of Michigan Street to Michigan
<br />Street.
<br />Improvement Resolution No.2047 for the local sewer improvement
<br />on King Street from center line of Blaine Avenue to the center line of Lot I9 in North-
<br />west Addition.
<br />Improvement Resolution No.2048 for the local sewer improvement
<br />on �.ueen Street from I70 feet east of Blaine Avenue to the east line of lot I44 in
<br />Northwest Addition.
<br />Improvement Resolution No.2055 for the ravement of the alleys
<br />in Belleville -4ddition.
<br />Improvement Resolution 111o.2037 for the ravement of Sample btreet
<br />from a point 308 feet west of the west line of Belleville Ist., Unit to the west line
<br />of the right-of-way of the New Jersey Indiana and Illinois Railroad.
<br />In all of the above named improvement resolutions, remonstrators
<br />appeared but no written remonstrance was filed, and the Board being fully advised,
<br />in the premises, finds that the benefits to the several lots and parcels of land ldable
<br />to be assessed for said improvements will be equal to the estimated costs of same as
<br />reported by the 'jity Engineer. The Board, therefore, decides to take final action
<br />on said improvement resolutions and declaribB same in all th -ngs ratified, confirmed and
<br />approved without modofication.
<br />In all of the above named improvement resolutions, the Board now
<br />orders that on the 15th. , day of May 1928 this Board Ld,ri ll receive, open and read sealed
<br />proposals for the construction of said improvements up to I0:00 A. Y. The Board
<br />further orders that notices of said proposals shall be published in the South Bend
<br />News Times and Tribune on the 4th. , day of May and on the IIth. , day of May 1928,
<br />according to law.
<br />City !'ngineer, H. G. 11ray, filed plans, specifications and
<br />estimate and the Board adopted a resolution for thw widening, pavement, resurfacing
<br />and underground conduit for lighting system on Miami Street from Lincoln Way Last
<br />to Ewing venue under Improvement Resolution No.2060.
<br />In the above named improvement resolution, the Board hereby
<br />orders that on the 23rd. , day of May, I928, this Board will meet in their office in
<br />the City Hall at 7-I5 P. M. , to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons whose
<br />property may be affected by said improvement and will decide whether the several lots
<br />and parcels of land liable to be assessed for said improvement will be benefited in
<br />proportion to the estimated cost of same. The Board further orders that notices of
<br />said hearing shall be published on the 4th. , day of May and on the IIth. , day of May
<br />I928 in the South Bend idews Times and Tribune and that notices be mailed to property
<br />owners according to law.
<br />City ngineer, H. G. ;fray, filed plans, specifications and
<br />estimate and the .Board adopted Improvement -Resolution No.2957 in pursuance to a petition
<br />filed by 55 % of the oviners of all lots in Lincoln Manor "ecor(�, Addition for the
<br />pavement and sewer in and along all streets and portions of streets lying within the
<br />boundary of said Addition. (See files for resolution.)
<br />In the above named improvement -Resolution, the Board hereby
<br />orders that on the 9th. , day of May I928, this Board will meet in their office in the
<br />City Hall at 7-I5 P. M., to hear and receive remonstrances from all persons :whose
<br />property may be affected by said improvements. The Board further orders that notices
<br />of said hearing shall be published on the 3rd. , day of May, 1928, in the ''outh Bend
<br />News Times and Tribune according to laps.
