48 ?ednesday "Evening, ipril Ilth., 1928. <br />Board met in regular session at 7-I5 P. Y. Mr. H. 0. Iray absent. <br />-Due to the large number of persons in attendance, the meeting <br />adjourned to the Council Chambers, <br />The Board approved the renewal certificate for the bond of Ilbert <br />W. Zmith, si g.ed by the Metropolitan Casualty Insurance o., of New York., <br />This being the date set, continued hearing was had on the assess- <br />ment roll for the grade, curb and wal.k improvement on Chicago Street from Division Street <br />to Jefferson Blvd., under Improvement Resolution No.I829. <br />• <br />In the above named assessment roll the Board decides to continue <br />same until April 24th. , 1928 at 10:00 A. M. <br />This being the date set, hearings were had on the follming <br />improvement resolutions:e <br />Improvement Resolution No.2032 for the local sewer on Johnson <br />Street from Vassar Street to Elwood Avenue. (See files for copy of resolution.) <br />Improvement Resolution No.2026 for the local sewer on Adams Street <br />between Vassar and Humbolt Street. (See filers for copy of resolution.) <br />• <br />Improvement Resolution No.2034 for the local sewer on O'Brien <br />Street between Vassar and Elwood Avenue. (See files for copy of resolution.) <br />Improvement Resolution No.2023 for the local serer on Merry .Avenue <br />between Grant Stree and Meade Street. (See files for copy of resolution.) <br />. <br />In all of the above named improvement resolutions, no remonstrators <br />W <br />;appeared and no written remonstrance was filed and the Board, being fully advised in the <br />premises, finds that the benefits to the several lots and parcels of land liable to be <br />assessed for said improvements will be equal to the estimated costs of same as reported <br />by the City Civil Engineer. The Board, therefore, decides to take final action on all <br />• <br />of the above named improvement resolutions and declares same in all things ratified,. <br />::confirmed and approved. <br />The Board now orders that on the Ist. , day of I+lay, 1928, this <br />Board will receive, open and read sealed proposals for the above named sewers up to <br />I0:00 A. M. The Board further orders that notices of said sealed proposals shall be <br />published on the I9th. , day of A.oril and on the 26th. , day of April 1928 in the South <br />Bend News mimes and Tribune, according to law. <br />This being the date set, hearings were had on the following <br />improvement resolutions: <br />'ti+oodside <br />• <br />Improvement Resolution No.2000 for the pavement on Stfeet <br />from Michigan Street to Fellows Street. (See files for copy of resolution.) <br />Improvement Resolution 11o.2009 for the pavement on Calvert Street <br />from west line of Sampson Street to Ernsperger Street. (See files for copy of resolution.;) <br />Improvement Resolution No. 20I0 for the pavement on Calvert Street <br />from Kline Street to Sampson. ( See files for copy of resolution.) <br />Improvement Resolution No.20I2 for the pavement of Dorothy Street <br />from south line of concrete pavement on Prairie Avenue to Eviing Avenue. ( See files for <br />jcopy of resolution.) <br />• <br />Improvement Resolution No.20II for the pavement and widening and <br />installation of lighting system on Chapin Street from the south curb line of Washington <br />Avenue to the south line of Monroe Street running west from Chapin Street. (See files <br />for copy of resolution.) <br />In all of the above named improvement resolutions, i10 remonstrators <br />appeared and no written remonstrances were filed, and the Board, being filly advised in <br />the premises, finds that the benefits to the several lots and parcels of land liable to <br />be assessed for said improvements will be equal to the estimated costs of same as report- <br />ed by the City Civil Engineer.
