655 4 • • • 0 PRELIMINARY ORDER WHEREAS, the Board of Public Works and Safety pursuant to its notice to do so, met on the 9th day of Sep- tember, 1957 at the hour of 10:00 A.M. (COST) and publicly openad and considered all bids for the improve ment of Northside Boulevard from Twyckenham Drive to Sample Street by constructing a Class "B" Pavement in accordance with Improvement Resolution No. 2861, 1957 passed by this Board on August 5, 1957, and con- firmed by this Board on August 19, 1957, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Roadway of said street be improved by paving with Class "B" Type 3 pavement. R. S. Andrysiak Frank J. Bruggner Irving J. Smith The time now being after 10:00 A.M. (DST) it was so announced and the bids for the Sanitation Department were opened and read aloud. Proofs of Publication in the South Bend Tribune with an affidavit signed by C. G. Livengood and in the Record with an affidavit signed by W. Ruby McManon were submitted to the Board and found sufficient. The bids received read as follows: INDIANA EQUIPMENT COMPANY, INC. Lakeville, Indiana A non -collusion affidavit and a bidder's bond in the amount of $2,000.00 accompanied the bid. One (1) International Harvester Model TD-14-142 Series equipped with International Drott Skid Shovel NET PRICE F.O.B. SOUTH BEND, WIHOUT TRADE $18,742.32 NET PRICE WITH TRADE OF OLIVER-CLE-TRAC WITH DROTT LOADER, -F. 0. B. SOUTH BEND MAG-ALLISTER MACHINERY COMPANY, INC. Plymouth, Indiana $169953.00 A non -collusion affidavit and a bidder's bond in the amount of $2400.00 accompanied the bid. One (1) Front End Loader - Caterpillar Model 977 - Series D Traxcavator TOTAL NET PRICE $23,087.00 ALLOWANCE FOR TRADE IN ----------- $2100.00 The bids will be taken under consideration and contract awarded at the next regular Board meeting to be held on Monday, September 23, 1957. There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned at 10:55 A.M. (DST).
