LWt <br />ORDER TO ENGINEER FOR PLANS <br />According to the recommendation of the City Civil Engineer concerning the petition of Triway Builders <br />and 6 others for the improvement of Bergan Street from Johnson Street to Eclipse Place and Marquette <br />Boulevard, you are hereby directed to prepare plans, drawings, profiles, general details, specifications,; <br />estimates and the preliminary improvemetn Resolution for improving such part of said street by construct <br />ing a trunk sewer. <br />IMPROVEMENT/iRSOLUTION NO. 2866, 1957 <br />ENTRY OF PETITION PRESENTED <br />The Board of Public Works and Safety hereby receives and places on file the Petition of Triway Builders <br />and 6 others for the improvement on Marquette Boulevard from Elmer Street to Oliver Street. <br />PETITION REFERRED TO ENGINEER <br />The Petition of Triway Builders and 6 others for the improvement of Marquette Boulevard from Elmer Street <br />to Olive Street by constructing a trunk sewer is referred to you, for investigation and recommendation <br />at the next regular meeting of this Board. <br />CITY CIVIL ENGINEER'S RECOMMENDATION <br />Referring to the Petition of Triway Builders and 6 others for the improvement of Marquette Boulevard <br />from Elmer Street to Olive -Street by constructing a trunk sewer, I would recommend that the Petition be <br />§ranted. j <br />ORDER TO ENGINEER FOR PLANS <br />I <br />According to the recommendation of the City Civil Engineer concerning the petition of Triway Builders <br />and 6 others for the improvement of Marquette Boulevard from Elmer Street to Olive Street you are here— <br />by directed to prepare plans, drawings, profiles, general details, specifications, estimates and the <br />preliminary improvement resolution for improving such part of said street by constructing a trunk sewer. <br />Inasmuch as Lots 13, 142 159 162 17, and 18 of Peak's Addition is within the city limits of the City of <br />South Bend, Indiana and without jurisdiction of the St. Joseph County Planning Commission the Board <br />recommends that the County Planning Commission does not at this time rezone any portion of Lot 17 which <br />is in county zoning. <br />VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 2863, 1957 <br />The hearing scheduled for this date with reference to abovenamed Vacation Resolution will be continued <br />until Monday, September 9, 1957. <br />VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 2864, 1957 <br />This being the date set, hearing was held on the Resolution heretofore adopted by the Board of Public <br />Works for the vacation of <br />1. Bryan Street from the East line of Cushing Street easterly a distance of 748 feet <br />to the easterly line of Lot 265 extended southerly across said Bryan Street. <br />2. An alley 14 feet in width running in a northerly and southerly direction from the north <br />line of Beale Street north to the south line of an alley running easterly and westerly <br />between the eastline of Cushing Street and the St. Joseph River, which said alley is <br />bounded on the West by the easterly line of Lots numbered 252, 259, and 267 in Northwest <br />Third Addition and which said alley is bounded on the East by the westerly line of Lots <br />251, 260, and 266 of part of Northwest Third Plat. <br />3. An alley, being 14 feet in width east and west, running north and south from the north <br />line of an alley running east and west between Beale Street and Bryan Street northerly <br />to the South line of an alley which runs in an easterly and westerly direction between <br />the east line of Cushing Street and the St. Joseph River, which said alley being vacated <br />is bounded on the west by the east line of Lots 261, and 266 in Northwest Third Addition <br />and on the east by the west line of Lots 261 and 265 of Northwest Third Plat. <br />4. An alley 14 feet in width east and west running in a northerly and southerly direction <br />from a point on the north line of Bryan Street north to the south line of an alley running <br />in an easterly and westerly direction between the east line of Cushing Street and the St. <br />Joseph River, which said alley is bounded on the west by the east line of Lot 265 and on <br />the east by the west line of Lot 264 of Northwest Third Plat. <br />5. An alley 14 feet in width North and South running east and west between Bryan Street and <br />Beale Street and Beale Street from the east line of Cushing Street easterly a distance of <br />374.04 feet, all in Northwest Third Addition. <br />6. An alley 14 feet in width running an easterly and westerly direction from the east line of <br />Cushing Street easterly a distance of 1002 feet, which said alley is the first alley noxrth <br />of Bryan Street and is bounded on the south by the north line of Lots 264, 2659 2669 and <br />267 of Northwest Third Plat. <br />all under Vacation Resolution No, 2864, 1957. <br />• <br />0 <br />0 <br />• <br />• <br />
