IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 2858, 1957
<br />IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION CONFIRMED
<br />For the improvement of South Thirty Fourth Street under Improvement Resolution No. 2858, 1957 adopted Aug
<br />ust 5, 1957 from East Jefferson Boulevard to East Washington Street by constructing an established grade,
<br />storm drainage inlets and accepted curbing. After hearing all persons interested who appeared and being
<br />fully advised on the premises and the Clerk of the Board having shown proofs of pbblication of the notices'';
<br />to property owners and the same having been found sufficient, the Board decides that the benefits to the
<br />property liable to be assessed for said improvement are equal to the estimated cost of the same as reported,;
<br />by the City Civil Engine+ex, therefore,
<br />BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of South Bend, Indiana, that Improve-
<br />ment Resolution No. 2858, 1957 duly passed by this Board on August 5, 1957, for the above improvement, be
<br />and the same is hereby in all things confirmed for the construction of an established grade, storm drainage"
<br />inlets and accepted curbing on South Thirty Fourth Street from East Jefferson Blvd. to East Washington
<br />Street and the improvement is hereby ordered to be made.

<br />FINAL CONFIRMATION OF IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION
<br />For the improvement of South Thirty Fourth Street from East Jefferson Boulevard to East Was Street
<br />by constructing an established grade, storm drainage inlets and accepted curbing under Improvement Reso-
<br />lution No. 2858, 1957. No written remonstrances against said improvement bearing the signatures of 51
<br />per cent or more of resident property owners on said street to be improvement, having been filed within
<br />the ten (10) day period following the date and time of the hearing on said improvement, therefor@,
<br />BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of South Bend, Indiana, that Improve-
<br />ment Resolution No. 2858, 19579 duly adopted by this Board on August 59 19579 and first confirmed on Aug-
<br />ust 26, 1957, be and -the same is in all things finally confirmed and the improvement is hereby ordered
<br />made.

<br />PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS ADOPTED
<br />BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of South Bend, Indiana, that the Pro-
<br />filed, Drawings, Plans, General Details, Specifications and Estimates approved by this Board on the 5th
<br />day of August, 1957 for the improvement of South Thirty Fourth Street from East Jefferson Boulevard to East`
<br />Washington Street by constructing an established Grade, Storm Drainage Inlets and Accepted curbing be and
<br />the same are hereby adopted and ordered placed on file in the office of the Department of Public Works and
<br />Safety. September 9, 1957 at 10:00 A.M. (DST) is set as the time and the office of the Board as the place
<br />when and where the Board of Public Works and Safety will open and consider bids.
<br />The Clerk of the Board is hereby ordered to give notice by 2 weekly publications of the time and placa,
<br />when and where bids will be received, opened and considered for the construction of said work. Said Clerk
<br />shall state in said notices, that each bidder shall enclose with his bid a certified check or bid bond for
<br />above named amount, to insure the execution of this contract.

<br />IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION CONFIRMED
<br />For the improvement of North South Alley between Michigan and Main Streets under Improvement Resolution
<br />NO. 28592 1957 adopted August 5, 1957 from West Calvert Street to Dayton Street by constructing a 7" con-
<br />crete pavement. After hearing all persons interested who appeared and being fully advised on the premises
<br />and the Clerk of the Board having shown proofs of publication of the notices to property owners and the
<br />same having been found sufficient, the Board decides that the benefits to the property liable to be assess-
<br />ed for said improvement are equal to the estimated cost of the same as reported by the City Civil Engineer,
<br />therefore,
<br />BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of South Bend, Indiana, that Imprue-
<br />ment Resolution No. 2859, 19579 duly passed by this Board on August 5, 1957, for the above improvement,
<br />be and the same is hereby in all things confirmed for the construction of a 7" concrete pavement on the
<br />North South alley between Michigan and Main Street from West Calvert Street to Dayton Street and the im-
<br />provement is hereby ordered to be made.
