5J2 <br />June 3, 1957 <br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public lNorks was held on Monday, June 3, 1957 at 10:00 A.M. (DST). All <br />members were present. Minutes of the previous regular meeting were read and approved. Tschida <br />386.46 <br />West Side Hardware Company <br />231.30 <br />RESOLUTION ADOPTING FINAL ASSESSPJ:ENT ROLL <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2351, 1957 <br />After hearing all persons interested who appeared and the Clerk of the Board of Public Works and Safety <br />having proofs of publication of the notices to property owners and the same having been found sufficient, <br />therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of South Bend, Indiana, that the Pri- <br />mary or Preliminary Assessment Roll adopted by the Board on the 3rd day of June, 1957, for the improvement <br />of Pershing Street (Local Sewer) be and the same is in all things confirmed. <br />R. Sabo, Clerk <br />The Assessment Roll on Campau Street (Local Sewer) from 185 feet :Vest of Jacob Street to Jacob Street un- <br />der Improvement Resolution No. 2850, 1957 is hereby approved by the Board this 3rd day of June, 1957. <br />Contractor's bonds were approved for Savely Fedorow, Eugene W. Louderback, Irving Grams, and Millard T. <br />Hartman. <br />Excavation bonds were approved for 0. E. Fram & Sons. <br />A. petition was received for the improvenent of South 34th Street from East Jefferson Boulevard to East <br />Washington Street by the construction of the Established Grade, Catch Basins and Accepted curbing accord- <br />ing to the Barrett Law program. Petition referred to the City Engineering Department for recommendation <br />and investigation. <br />The petition for the sewer improvement in Falcon Street from Washington Street to '.Nestern AVaue was referrE <br />to the City Engineer for re -consideration. <br />An application for permit to occupy public property, 6 feet of Lincoln 'Nay East along the front of 114 Lin,; <br />colnway East from date to August 1, 1957 during the construction of building for Office Engineers was ap- i' <br />proved for H. H. Verkler, Contractor. <br />The Board hereby authorizes Raymond S. Andrysiak, City Engineer, to contact '.William S. lvloore to make ne- <br />cessary arrangements to establish the legal property line along Riverside Drive from Angela Boulevard and <br />running to the end of the Drive to the Sewage Treatment Plant. <br />Mr. David Gitlitz, 1329 Leeper Avenue appeared before the Board on behalf of Sinai Synagogue regarding <br />the landscaping on property of said Synagogue which was damaged during the improvement of Eddy Street. <br />The City Engineer now reports that he will work outsome agreement in order to put the area back in shape <br />as soon as possible. <br />• <br />• <br />C7 <br />• <br />The following letter bids were submitted to the Board for the purchase of the Dr. Toth residence which is • <br />being offered for sale. <br />Worden Bros., 1014 North Olive Street, South Bend, Indiana submitted to the Board a bid of six hundred 11 <br />
