584 A petition is hereby submitted to the Board asking for the vacation of the alley contiguous to the East line of Lot 469 and the West line of Lots 43, #4, and 45 of Wooded Estates, running North from Oak Park Drive to the North line of Lot ##69 of Wooded Estates, a distance of 140 feet. Petition referred to the City Planning Commission for further investigation and recommendation. A petition is hereby submitted to the Board asking for the improvement of Vassar Avenue from College Stre to Brookfield Street by the construction of paving according to the BarrettLaw Plan. Referred to the Cit Engineering Department for investigation. A petition was submitted to the Board asking for the improvement of Brookfield Street from Bergan Street to Lathrop Street by the construction of a local sewer according to the Barrett Law Plan. Referred to t City Enginering Department for further investigation and report. A petition was submitted to the Board asking for the improvement of Sancome Avenue from LaPorte Avenue to Lincoln Way West by the construction of blacktopping. Referred to the City Engineering Department for investigation and report. The Indiana & Michigan Electric Company agreement for the lighting on Indiana Avenue is hereby approved and accepted by the Board. The time now being after 10:00 A.M.(DST) it was so announced and the bids for the Eddy Street improvement' and also the Sewer Department were now opened and considered. Proofs of publication in the South Bend Tribune with an affidavit signed by C. G. Livengood and in theRecord with an affidavit signed by W. DeCani were submitted to the Board and found sufficient.
