560 <br />Verner L. Lane, Building Commissioner, reports to the Board that the 2 vehicles purchased by the Building <br />Department have been thoroughly examined and found to meet the required specifications in accordance with <br />the bid. Lane also reports that the Parking Lot operator on Main and Jefferson have put the necessary car <br />stops as required by the City of South Bend for safety of the public. <br />The Board now authorizes Mr. Lane to request the owner of the property at 426 South Chaping Street to appe <br />at a hearing on Monday, March 41 1957 at 10:00 A.M. (CST) with reference to a condemmation order. <br />Mr. Richey Whitesell, Bendix Corporation, appeared before the Board with reference to the progress on which <br />said corporation has made in regards to the installation of sound control equipment at Bendix.
