<br />Verner L. Lane, Building Commissioner, reports to the Board that the 2 vehicles purchased by the Building
<br />Department have been thoroughly examined and found to meet the required specifications in accordance with
<br />the bid. Lane also reports that the Parking Lot operator on Main and Jefferson have put the necessary car
<br />stops as required by the City of South Bend for safety of the public.
<br />The Board now authorizes Mr. Lane to request the owner of the property at 426 South Chaping Street to appe
<br />at a hearing on Monday, March 41 1957 at 10:00 A.M. (CST) with reference to a condemmation order.
<br />Mr. Richey Whitesell, Bendix Corporation, appeared before the Board with reference to the progress on which
<br />said corporation has made in regards to the installation of sound control equipment at Bendix. Mr. Whitesel2
<br />reports that the corporation now has the completed contract signed and actual construction of the equipment; •
<br />is underway and should be in operation and completed by July 1, 1957.
<br />!The Bids received for the Dog Pound Department were rejected by the Board and returned to the respective
<br />bidders, unopend.
<br />!The Clerk of the Board is hereby authorized to advertise for a vehicle for the Dog Pound Department and
<br />also for the Parking Meter Division.

<br />therefore decides to take final action on said assessment roll and declares same in all things ratified, j

<br />;Bend, Indiana. Also, a group of remonstrators from the Belleville are appeared in regards to a possible
<br />'change of routing in the extremer.�west end of Ford Street in Belleville district. After due consideration
<br />.the following Amendment$ to proposed route was adopted:
