Traffic Engineer, Ernest <br />H. Miller, is hereby authorized to make necessary arrangements and report on his findings as to his recom=! <br />mendation. <br />i <br />Traffic signs were installed at the following locations: 1 hour time limit parking in front of 319 East <br />Wayne Street, Stop signs on Donald Street at Morris Street; No Parking This Side signs installed on east' <br />side of Walnut Street between Colfax and Linden Avenues. <br />VACATION RESOLUTION NO. 2845, 1956 <br />This being the date set, hearing was held on the Resolution heretofore adopted by the Board of Public Worki <br />and Safety for the vacation of A PORTION OF THE NORTH AND SOUTH ALLEY LYING BETWEEN CHAPIN AND PINE ST:REETiI <br />AND DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS: <br />Beginning at the NW corner of Lot 14, Erastus Perkins' 2nd Sub -Division <br />of part of Bank Out Lot 76, South Bend, Indiana; thence south along the <br />east line of the first alley west of Chapin Street 66.04 feet to the north- <br />erly line of the New York Central Railroad Right-of-way; thence westerly <br />9.9 feet to the west line of the north and south alley; thence north along <br />the west line of said alley 66.04 feet, more or less, to a point west of <br />the NW corner of said Lot 14; thence east 9.9 feet to place of beginning. <br />under Vacation Resolution no. 2845, 1956. <br />The Clerk of the Board having shown sufficient proofs of publication and no remonstrators having appeared <br />before the Board and no written remonstrances having been filed with the Clerk, it was moved, seconded and', <br />unanimously carried that the said Resolution be finallly adopted and said alley be vacated. <br />The Engineering Department is hereby directed to prepare an assessment roll covering the assessment of ben <br />- <br />fits and the award of damages to the surrounding properties. <br />R.
