EMILY CONRAD, Co -Founder, Experience Design <br />Emily draws upon her expertise in technology to create rich, meaningful <br />experiences that educate and evoke. Her experiential design strategies <br />facilitate engagement, inspire meaningful connections and activate <br />audiences for a wide array of project types. With sixteen years of expertise as <br />a technologist, interaction designer, and activator of space, Emily designs <br />fresh experiences and technology platforms integrated into large-scale <br />media environments and physical space to create lasting impact. Emily's <br />experiential) design projects include the design of the Statue of Liberty <br />Museum, new mobile science learning centers for the BioBus, unique <br />exhibitions for the National Museum of Mathematics, as well as leading the <br />STEM curriculum at the Lower East Side Girls Club, MakerSpace, Prior to <br />co-founding Tessellate, Emily was the Director of Immersive and Activity <br />Design at ESI Design. Her projects have integrated hands-on games, <br />participatory group activities, dynamic data visualization, and user-friendly <br />toolsets, Emily earned an MPS in Interactive Telecommunications from New <br />York University and a BA in Studio Art and Earth Sciences from <br />Earlham College. <br />JOE KARADIN, Co-FOLInder. Physical Design <br />Joe Karadin is the Executive Creative Director of Tessellate, creating <br />impactful experiences within the built environment. A highly experienced <br />architect and exhibit clesiginer, Joe has more than 20 years of experience in <br />immersive environmental design. His passion is exploring new ways of <br />creating, communicating, and producing physical and diigital design to shape <br />experiences. His design practice focuses on the complex interconnections <br />between content, experiences narratives, and spatial arrangements <br />spanning across many different project types. Prior to becoming a founding <br />member of Tessellate, Joe was the Director of Physical Design at ESI Design. <br />He has tenured at Thinc Design, Interbraind, Lippincott and other notable <br />design firms. He has won several awards and distinctions for his work on the <br />ATaT GNOC, the Edward M. Kennedy institute, and as a finalist for hls design <br />of the World Tirade Center Memorial.
