<br />IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION CONFIRMED
<br />For the improvement of South Lake Street from the North line of Jefferson Blvd. to the South line of!
<br />Washington Street under Improvement Resolution No. 2846, 19569 adopted August 27, 1956 by constructing a
<br />Class "C" pavement (types 1 to 4).
<br />After hearing all persons interested who appeared and being fully advised on the premises and the Clerk
<br />of the Board having shown proofs of publication of the notices to property owners and the same having been��
<br />found sufficient, the Board decides that the benefits to the property liable to be assessed for said improve-
<br />ment are equal to the estimated cost of the same as reported by the City Civil Engineer, therefore
<br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of South Bend, Indiana, that Im-
<br />provement Resolution No. 2846, 1956, duly passed by this Board on August 27, 19569 for the above improvement,
<br />be and the same is hereby in all things confirmed.

<br />For the improvement of Donald Street from Kemble Avenue to Douglas Street and Douglas Street from
<br />Donald Street to Ewing Avenue by constructing a local combined sewer under Improvement Resolution No. 2844
<br />19569 adopted August 13, 1956, and first confirmed on September 4, 1956.
<br />No written remonstance or remonstrances agains said improvement bearing the signatures of fifty-one
<br />(51%) per cent or more of the resident property owners on said street to be improvedt-4aving been filed
<br />within the ten (10) day period following the date and time of the hearing on said improvement, therefore,
<br />BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of South Bend, Indiana, that Improve-
<br />ment Resolution No. 2844, 1956, duly adopted by this Board on August 13, 1956, and first confirmed on
<br />;September 49 19569 be and the same is in all things finally confirmed and the improvement is:hereby order
<br />made.

<br />PLANS & SPECIFICATIONS ADOPTED.
<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA, that the
<br />Profiles, Drawings, Plans General Details, Specifications and Estimates approved by this Board on the 13th
<br />day of Sugust, 19569 for the improvement of Donald Street from Kemble Avenue to Douglas Street and Douglas
<br />Street from Donald Street to Ewing Avenue by constructing a local combined sewer be and the same are hereb
<br />adopted and ordered placed on file in the office of the Department of Public Works and Safety.
<br />October 1, 1956, at the hour of 9:00 A.M. (CST) is hereby fixed as the time and the office of the Board
<br />of Public Works and Safety in the City Hall of this City, as the Place, when and where the Board of Public
<br />Works and Safety will open and consider bids for the above named improvements, provided all bids for the co&-
<br />struction of said work shall be filed in the Office of the Clerk of this Board before 9:00 A.M. (CST) of said
<br />day. Each bidder for said work shall enclose with his bid a certified check, cashier's check in the sum of!
<br />five (5%)' per cent of the amount of his bid, to insure the execution of this contract, if said work is a-
<br />warded to him.
<br />I The Clerk of this Board is hereby ordered to give notice by two (2) weekly publications fo the time
<br />land place, when and where bids will be received, opened and considered for the construction of said work.
<br />'Said Clerk shall state in said notices, that each bidder shall enclose with his bid a certified check, cas
<br />ier's check for above named amount, to insure the execution of this contract.
