520 BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of South Bend, Indiana, that Im- provement Resolution No. 28439 1956, duly adopted by this Board on August 61 19569 and first confirmed on August 27, 1956, be and the same is in all things finally confirmed and the improvement is hereby ordered made. Sabo, Clerk PLANS & SPECIFICATIONS ADOPTED BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, INDIANA$ that the j Profiles, Drawings, Plans, General Details, Specifications and Estimates approved by this Board on the 6th day of August, 1956, for the improvement of Oakcrest Drive from 35th Street to Sylvan Glen and Sylvan Glen from Oakcrest Drive to McKinley Avenue by constructing a local combined sewer be and the same are hereby ordered paced on file in the office of the Department of Public Works and Safety. September 24, 1956, at the hour of 9:00 A.M. (CST) is hereby fixed as the time and the office of the1 Board of Public Works and Safety._in the City Hall of this City, as the Place, when and where the Board of Public Works and Safety will open,rto consider the bids for the above named improvements, provided all bids for the construction of said work shall be filed in the Office of the Clerk of this Board before 9:00 A.M • of said day. Each bidder for said works shall enclose with his bid a certified check, cashier's check in the sum of five per cent of the amount of his bid, to insure the execution of this contract, if said work is awarded to him. The Clerk of this Board is hereby ordered to give notice by two (2) weekly publications df the time and place, when and where bids will be received, opened and considered for the construction of said work. Said Clerk shall state in said notices, that each bidder shall enclose with his bid a certifed check, cashier's check for above named amount, to insure the execution of this contract. R. S. Sabo, Clerk IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 2836 CONTRACTOR'S COMPLETION AFFIDAVIT IN THE MATTER relating to the Pavement Improvement of Sibley Avenue from the West line of College Street to the East line of Brookfield Street made under Improvement Resolution No. 2836, 19569 and the plans and specifications, therefore, comes now Kenneth A. McIntyre who being duly sworn upon oath deposes and says he is acquainted with the McIntyre & Jones Construction Company, 1121 South Main Street, South Bend, Indian?a the party to whom was awarded the contract and who performed the work under Improvement Reoslution No. 2836,E • 1956. That he is familiar with and personally knows that the said McIntyre & Jones Construction Company, 1121 South Main Street, South Bend, Indiana, in the permormance of said work complied with all the terms and conditions of said contract, plans and specifications in every particular, and that the material used was of the character, kind, quantity and quality required therein and according to an under the direction of the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of South Bend, Indiana. ENGINEER'S CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION We hereby certify that the contract that between the City of South Bend, Indiana, Owner, and the Me 11 Intyre & Jones Construction Company, South Bend, Indiana Contractor, for the construction of the pavement ? . improvement in Sibley Avenue from the West line of College Street to the East line of Brookfield Street j under Improvement Reoolution No. 2836, 1956, has been completed in accordance with the plans and specifics-! tions for this project. RESOLUTION ACCEPTING FINAL ESTIMATE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Public Works and Safety of City. of South Bend, Indiana, that the Final Estimate and Primary Assessment Roll submitted to the Board by the City Civil Engineer or his duly authorized representative on this loth day of September, 19569 on the improvement known as the Sibley Avenue pavement as described in Improvement Resolution No. 2836, 1956, passed by the Board of Public Works and Safety on May 21, 1956, and confirmed by said Board on June 25, 1956, be and the same is hereby adopted, and the Clerk of this Board is hereby requested to give notice of the hearing of Special Benefits on said i • Improvement, as required by Section N. 111 or 120 of an Act entitled, "An Act Concerning Municipal Corpora- tions" approved March 69 1905.
