Andrysiak City Civil Engineer Improvement Resolution No. 2838 Engineer's Report In the matter of the Bids for the Improvement of Huron Street from Arnold Street to Webster Street by constructing a local combined sewer in accordance with Improvement Resolution No. 2838, 1956, and con- firmed by this Board on August 6, 1956, we hereby report that we have examined the several Bids submitted to the Board on August 20, 1956, and find that the Niles Excavating Company, South Bend, Indian has the lowest and best bid for construction of the improvement. We (Chas. W. Cole & Sons, Engineers) recommend that the Contract be awarded to the Niles Excavating Company. IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 2846 ENTRY OF PETITION PRESENTED The Board of Public Works & Safety hereby received and placed on file the Petition of Joe H. Townsen and 13 others for the improvement of South Lake Street from the North line of Jefferson Blvd. to the South j line of Washington Street by constructing a Class "C" pavement (types 1 to 4). Improvement Resolution No. 2846 PETITION REFERRED TO ENGINEER The Petition of Joe H. Townsend and 13 others for the improvement of South Lake Street from the Nort line of Jefferson Blvd. to the South line of Washington Street by constructing a Class "C" pavement (types 1 to 4) is referred to you for investigation and recommendation at the next regular meeting of this Board. IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 2846 CITY CIVIL ENGINEERS RECOMMENDATION Referring to the Petition of Joe H. Townsend and 13 others for the improvement of South Lake Street from the North line of Jefferson Blvd. to the South line of Washington Street by constructing a Class "C" pavement (types 1 to 4), the City Engineer recommends that the Petition be granted. IMPROVEMENT RESOLUTION NO. 2846 ORDER TO ENGINEER FOR PRELIMINARY PLANS .According to the recommendation of the City Civil Engineer concerning the petition of Joe H. Townsend and 13 others for the improvement of South Lake Street from the North line of Jefferson Blvd. to the South' line of Washington Street you are hereby directed to prepare Plans, Drawings, Profiles, General Details, !� Specifications, Estimates and the Preliminary Improvement Resolution for improving such part of said stree s by constructing a Class "C" pavement (types 1 to 4). There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned at 10:40 A.M. (DST).
