ORDINANCE NO. <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH BEND, <br /> INDIANA,APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR CERTAIN <br /> DEPARTMENTAL AND CITY SERVICES OPERATIONS IN 2017 OF $125,000 <br /> FROM DCI GRANT FUND (#212), $100,000 FROM STATE SEIZED DRUG MONEY <br /> (#216), $250,000 FROM LIABILITY INSURANCE FUND (#226), $49,000 FROM <br /> COVELESKI STADIUM (#401), $955,670 FROM VEHICLE-EQUIPMENT LEASING <br /> (#750), $22,500,000 FROM EDDY ST COMMONS CAPITAL (#759),AND $2,500,000 <br /> FROM EDDY ST COMMONS DEBT SERVICE FUND (#760). <br /> STATEMENT OF PURPOSE AND INTENT <br /> The Common Council passed the City's 2017 operating and capital budgets in <br /> 2016 (Ordinance#10457-16 passed on October 24, 2016)which included expenditures <br /> for various City operations. It is now necessary to appropriate additional funds for <br /> operational and capital expenditures necessary for the City to effect provision of services <br /> to its citizens which were not anticipated at the time the City budget was adopted. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of <br /> South Bend, Indiana, as follows: <br /> Section I. The following amounts are hereby appropriated in fiscal year 2017 and <br /> set apart within the following designated funds for expenditures as follows: <br /> Fund Amount <br /> DCI Grant Fund (#212) $ 125,000 <br /> State Seized Drug Money (#216) 100,000 <br /> Liability Insurance (#226) 250,000 <br /> Coveleski Stadium (#401) 49,000 <br /> Equipment/Vehicle Leasing (#750) 955,670 <br /> Eddy St Commons Capital (#759) 22,500,000 <br /> Eddy St Commons Debt Service(#760) 2,500,000 <br /> TOTAL $ 26,479,670 <br /> Section II.
