I • A petition was received from Frank Gawenda and others asking for the improve - of lst alley east of Kaley Street between Ford Street and Poland'Street by the constructi n of black topping according to law. Petition referred to the Engineerin& Department. i NO PARKING THIS SIDE signs were installed on: ' South side of Sorin Street from Niles Avenue to St. Joseph River. i Ernest H. Miller, Traffic Engineer, recommended that all applications hereto- fore submitted to the Board of Public Works & Safety for taxi -cab stands be denied. The Board approves Mr. Miller's recommendation. The_ Clerk of the Board was ordered to advertise fora pick-up truck for the I* Traffic Department.
