This Board now fixes the 6th day of February, 1956, at 10:00 A.M. (Central
<br />Standard Time) in the forenoon, as the time at which said contract will be finally
<br />considered, at the office of this Board in the City Hall, 224 North Main Street, South
<br />Bend, Indiana. At said time and place, a public hearing will be had at which any tax-
<br />payer may appear and file protest against any or all of the provisions of said contract:;
<br />This Board, in compliance with said Statute, has tentatively determined the
<br />exact form in which the amendment to said contract is to be finally adopted to be in
<br />the following words and figures, which contract is attached hereto and designated
<br />"Exhibit A".
<br />IT IS ORDERED that Northern Indiana Transit, Inc., shall, as its own expense,
<br />cause the full and complete text,of said contract to be published two times, one week
<br />apart, at least one week before such hea<�;ring, with the time and place of such hearing,
<br />in the South Bend Tribune, a daily newspaper, and The Record, a weekly newspaper (there
<br />being only one daily newspaper published in the City of South Bend), each of said news-
<br />papers being printed in the English language in the City of South Bend, St. Joseph
<br />County, Indiana.
<br />IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, that Northern Indiana Transit, Inc., shall likewise pos
<br />a copy of such contract and.notice in ten public places in the City of South Bend, Indi

<br />The Board next recognized George Morris who appeared before the Board with 1.1
<br />reference to.a taxi -cab license. The Clerk of the Board was ordered to obtain Mr. Morrst
<br />police records for evidence and present to the Board. Matter continued untill Monday,
<br />January 30, 1956.
<br />Mr. F. L. Nelson appeared before the Board with reference to right of way
<br />between City Water Works Bldg. and 213 Lincolnway East. Refer to Ray S. Andrydiak.
<br />Application_of taxi -cab license of Lloyd James Clark was brought before thej
<br />Board. The Clerk of the Board was ordered to give notice to Mr. g� Clark asking him to
<br />appear before the Board next Monday, January 30, 1956 with reference to said applica-
<br />tion and further to notify all parties in interest.
<br />Mr. Verner L. Lane, Building Commissioner, appeared before the Board and
<br />submitted a letter on the results of his inspection of the building occupied by the
<br />American Household Furniture Company, 408 S. Michigan Street. His action was approved
<br />and the letter ordered filed.
<br />A petition dated December 20, 1955 was submitted to the Board by Hartman
<br />Builders, Inc. for the vacation of an alley on the southeast ,Section 33, of Portage
<br />Township was next examined and referred to the City Plannin Commission for investiga-
