<br />KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS, That Russell W. Sayre and Dorothy H. Sayre, his
<br />wife, for and in consideration of One Dollar ($1,00) and other valuable consideration,
<br />receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, do hereby convey, transfer and dedicate to the ±!
<br />City of South Bend, Indiana, an -easement and right of way for street purposes over the
<br />i following described real estate in St. Joseph County, State of Indiana, to wit;
<br />A lot or parcel of land in the East one-half of the North
<br />East quarter of Section No. 34, Township No. 38 North, Range No. 2 East,s1 •
<br />bounded by a line running as follows, viz:
<br />Beginning at a point 447.1 feet South of the Northeast corner of said
<br />Section No. 34; thence running West a distance of 30 feet; thence
<br />South 131.7 feet; thence East 30 feet; thence North 131.7 feet to
<br />the place of beginning, being the East 30 feet of Lots Numbered !
<br />34 and 35 in an unrecorded plat of Jackson's subdivision in the
<br />City of South Bend.
<br />The aforementioned realty is here'oy dedicated for a public street, and a
<br />;permanent easement is hereby granted therefor as well as for the installation of sewers
<br />;and other public utilities in and on the realty specifically described herein.
<br />IN WITNESS WHEREOF, said Russell W. Sayre and Dorothy H. Sayre, his wife, •
<br />ihave executed.this conveyance as of the 27th dayof September, 1955.

<br />The Board then examined the file of remonstrances against the proposed construe-il
<br />tion of the Bercliff Estates sewers, which were found to be sufficient for the wl.thholdinq
<br />of the improvement. I;
<br />The Board next examined and approved Contract Supplements Nos. 16, 17 and 18,
<br />i •
<br />'pertaining to the Sewage Treatment Plant Contract No. 11, Sollitt Construction Co., Inc.
<br />'contractor, as recommended for acceptance by Consoer, Townsend & Associates, consulting {°
<br />;engineers.
<br />1' The request of James K. Sheehan for permit to operate a parking area at the
<br />rear of the Oliver Theatre Building on premises leased from the DuComb Estate, with a
<br />'capacity of forty cars, was next examined by the Board and approved.
<br />Property owners in Crestview Addition and in Miami Hills Addition appeared befor;'
<br />'the Board in the interests of the opening of High Street, from Donmoyer Avenue to Ridge -
<br />':dale Road. The Board let it be known that, if and when the land involved is dedicated
<br />to the City of South Bend for public street purposes, a grader will be sent in i.mmed- {
<br />iately and open that portion of High Street, from Donmoyer Avenue to Ridgedale Road.

<br />Traffic Engineer, E. H. Miller, being present, reported to the Board in con- �!
<br />siderable detail, the progress he has made on the project of making test borings of ;
<br />streets to determine their ability to carry various weights of truck traffic. 1
<br />The Board approved the following installation of traffic signs. -
