Miller, filed with the Board this date. <br />i <br />I Russell Oberlin, Realtor, then appeared before the Board and the Board proceeded <br />with the examining and signing of options and appraisal -reports in the matter of securing <br />required right-of-way for widening of Eddy Street. <br />Mr. Oberlin took up with the Board the controversial status of a certain area to <br />1 be acquired by the City for the extending of Colfax Avenue, from Ironwood Drive east to <br />Swanson Park 5th Addition. Steps to be taken in this matter were then determined upon. <br />TRAFFIC ENGINEER: <br />E. H. Miller, Traffic Engineer, being present, and having discussed the matter <br />with the Board, was given approval by the Board for the installation of a four-way <br />S-T-O-P Sign at the intersection of Marietta Street and East Sample Street on a tempor- <br />ary basis, with a view to determining whether a four-way STOP at this intersections will <br />;prove of any value, or increase the hazard and congestion, rather than improve the traffic <br />situation at this location. <br />n <br />j The Board also approved the installation of four-way stop signs at the intersection <br />11 of LaFayette Boulevard and LaMonte Terrace. <br />An Excavation Bond,in the sum of $1,000.00, was examined and approved for Marion <br />H. Hamilton & Sons. <br />Contractorts Bonds, each in the sum of $1,000.00, were examined and approved by <br />the Board for the following contractors: <br />Paul E. Baumgartner <br />H. G. Christman Construction Co., Inc. <br />Dan Tharp <br />Gervase S. Thompson <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting adjourned <br />at 11 : 25 A.
