<br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was held Monday, April 25, 1955, at
<br />10:00 A. M. All members were present. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and
<br />'approved. Salary claims in the total amount of $34,162.13 were approved. Claims of

<br />'!of South Bend, Indiana, that all public streets, alleys and public places dedicated to
<br />'!the public use in said plat are hereby accepted and approved by said Board for and on
<br />i'Ibehalf of the City of South Bend, Indiana, to wit:
<br />Part of the Northwest Quarter (1/4) of Section Thirty (30)
<br />Township Thirty-seven (37) North, Range Three (3) East, also
<br />part of the Northeast Quarter (14/) of Section Thirty (30)
<br />Township Thirty -Seven (37) North, Range Three (3) East, and
<br />also part of the -Southeast Quarter (1/4) of Section Nineteen
<br />(19), Township Thirty -Seven (37) North Range Three (3) East,
<br />within the City of South Bend, St. Joseph County, Indiana;
<br />and more particularly described in copy on file.
<br />In Witness Whereof, The First Bank and Trust Company of South Bend, as Trustee,
<br />,;under 'knd pursuant to a Trust Agreement made and entered into on the 20th day of
<br />April, 1951, (which Trust Agreement is recorded in Miscellaneous Record No. 115, at
<br />Pages 162-166 in the Office of the Recorder of St. Joseph Count, Indiana) in :conformance
<br />'with the powers contained therein, has caused this instrument to be signed by its
<br />;!Senior Vice President and Trust Officer, Judd Leighton, and its seal affixed and attest
<br />`ed by its Assistant Secretary and Assistant Trust Officer, Leo R. Boyle; and Leo A.
<br />Lippment, the sole beneficiary designated in said Trust Agreement has hereunto set his

<br />Then appeared before the Board, John T. Martin, President of Northern Indiana
<br />Transit Co., and Mr. Paren W. Anderson, requesting permission to mate certain changes
<br />in bus routes to provide extended and improved service, involving, the Corby, Miami and
<br />O'Brien. Street routes. The matter was given some discussion and taken under advisement
<br />for further study; decision to be announced at the next regular meeting.
<br />Lochmondy
<br />Next appeared Mr. Paul Lochmondy,Bros. Lumber Co., in regard to the continued use
<br />of an overhead sign. The Board, having received a complaint concerning this sign and
<br />finding it to be upon public property, ordered its removal, but informed Mr. Lochmondy
<br />it can be placed on private property where it will serve more effectively without viola-
<br />ting municipal codes.
