313 <br />The Board approved the installation of S-T-0-P signs on Ironwood Drive, both sides <br />at Calvert Street, making this a four-way stop intersection. <br />The Board next gave consideration to the new grade and corner "cut-off" proposed <br />for Center Street, between Mill Street and St. Joseph Street and reduced the "cut -Off" <br />indicated on drawing to twelve feet on each of the two streets. The Board then <br />approved the use of the remainder of land area for parking lot purposes for a period <br />not exceeding ten years, with the provision that such status may then be renewable <br />upon request. <br />A letter from Wm. Eckman, 522 Lincolnway East, dated March 18, 1955, bringing to <br />the Boardts attention damage to his sidewalk,caused by Santucci Construction Company's <br />trucks, was read and ordered placed on file. <br />Board members J. A. Bickel and R. S. Andrysiak having examined the medical report, <br />submitted by Dr. Geo. Gates, of Fred Milewski on Thursday March 17th, authorized the <br />reinstatement of Mr.. Milewski's taxi -cab driver's license. <br />After examination of Occupancy Bond and Certificate of Insurance of Thomas L. <br />Katovsich, R. R. #2, South Bend, Indiana for wet sandblasting of the Oliver Hotel, <br />Mr. Bickel and Mr. Andrysiak approved the granting of a permit for this work with the <br />stipulation that the work be completed on or before April 15, 1955• <br />Contractor's Bonds, each in the sum of $1,000.00, were examined and approved for <br />the following contractors; <br />Daniel J. Chrzan <br />A. H. Gardner d/b/a Roseland Construction Co. <br />Alfred Vannoni,& Zano Vannoni, d/b/a Gino Vannoni & Sons <br />Construction Co. <br />The Board then reviewed the tabulation of the three quotations on awnings, now <br />under consideration, and deferred action in this clatter until the next regular meeting <br />of the Board. <br />The Board examined blueprint of store building under construction at 128-130 South <br />Michigan Street and approved the canopy only for contractor, Carl Reinke & Sons. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned <br />at 12;20 P.M. <br />Attest; <br />Clerk <br />• <br />
