Jay Nimtz, bringing to the Board►s 1; ' <br />attention a condition of inexact or incomplete description in Vacation Resolution i <br />No. 2770, as recorded in the minutes of regular meeting of the Board under date of <br />February 8, 1954, covering certain lots, utility easements and streets in a part of <br />Edison Park Addition to the City of South Bend. To rectify this matter, the Board ordered; <br />the legal description of all property embraced in Vacation Resolution No. 2770, to be . <br />made a part of the minutes of this meeting as follows: <br />"Lots numbered two hundred six (206) to two hundred forty-seven (247) <br />inclusive, and lots numbered two hundred seventy-four (274) to two hundred <br />ninety-eight (298) inclusive, together with utility easements on said lots <br />and included public streets. I,. Tomlinson, being present, brought to the attention of <br />the Board, complaints received frog: South Iowa Street residents continuing to have <br />water backing -up into their basements. The fact that all sewers in this area were <br />laid in 'muck was immediately taken into consideration and it was the consensus of <br />opinion the first step should be an investigation to determine what line or lines are <br />broken, and how extensive the repairs would seem to be. The decision was reached to <br />have such investigation made immediately by a member of the Engineering Department, <br />accompanied by the Sower Department Foreman, Emil Gryp, and it was so ordered. <br />Street Commissioner Tomlinson then called attention to the fact that the Humane • <br />Societyy estimates the canine population of South Bend to be between six thousand and <br />seven thousand, whereas, dog tags issued by the City annually total only four or five <br />
