<br />A regular meeting of the Board of Public Works was held Monday, September 27, 1954,
<br />at 10:00 A. MI. All members were present. Minutes of the previous meeting were read

<br />First appeared before the Board, Pair. Rawson H. Miurdock, representing rlossberg & Co.
<br />,Inc., and presented to the Board, a petition for the vacating of alley running east and j
<br />west between Sample Street and Tutt Street, starting at Carroll Street and ending at
<br />',Tutt Street, the area being that extending 136 feet east from Carroll Street to 14 feet
<br />west of Lot 7; all in Anderson Subdivision. Petition was referred to the City Plan
<br />aCoinmission for their recommendation.
<br />The Board next examined revised drawings of the Re -Plat of Part of Lincoln Plaza,
<br />Second Addition, covering sewer construction plans for Ryer Street, Iowa Street, and
<br />,Elwood Avenue. The Board approved the revision indicated.
<br />A remonstrance placed with the Board, over the signature of August H. Engstrom and
<br />six other owners of real estate abutting and adjoining the 900 block ?"Jest Donald Street,
<br />against the paving of this block, was examined by the Board and ordered placed on file.
<br />A letter from the contracting firm of Sollitt Construction Company, under date of j
<br />:September 21, 1954s pertaining to roof slabs, was referred to the consulting engineers, 1
<br />Consoer, Townsend & Associates, for their advice and recommendation.
<br />Then appeared before the Board, V'T'rs. John W. VTcCauslin, requesting permission for '
<br />lithe Daughters of Isabella organization to use a booth in front of the Robertston
<br />Department Store in their solicitation of funds on behalf of the Northern Indiana Childrer�Is
<br />HHospital. In view of the precedent this would establish, it was deemed inadvisable to
